Yes. I hear you! When I had my former layovers in San Francisco and with the 19 hours plus time we we stayed atvthe Doubletree Hotel nextvto the golf course. And I just would stay there because I fid not feel comfortable walking the 3 or 4 blocks over to the subway train and then get to the downtown city area like about 45 minutes. I just would stay on my layovers at the Doubletree. Now, when I got the downtown layovers, well it was easier to be in the downtown regions. And yes, San Francisco's weekend bus and trains have a reduced weekend schedule them as well. So, it is sometimes hard getting around on the weekends here.
@@LMays-cu2hp that is. why I don't explore in more cities because we stay so far out from the downtown area that Im spending way more money than I need to just explore.
I hear you. Yes, there were other cities that if I was in the downtown area then it was nice to walk around. But having layovers out near or by the airports then I used to just stay near that hotel. Even on the international layovers, I use to just walk a couple of blocks in the first couple of layovers until I felt comfortable walking around three or four blocks away. Everyone has their since of being safe but enjoying the sights.
If you're staying close to the airport in Toronto, the best way to get downtown is to get back to the airport and take the UP Express to Union Station. It's quick and doesn't cost very much.
At our normal hotel I would have been able to go back to the airport to take the train. with the hotel we stayed at didn't have a shuttle back to the airport we had a private car service. but I wish we did stay at our normal hotel.
I like Toronto and it does give a New York vibe. I would move to Toronto if I had to chose between the two. I just laughed at the Eastbay comment. We would run to the mailbox, get the book, and mark all the shoes that we wanted. Our parents would then look through the book and order the ones they wanted us to have.
Eastbay was everything, I remember we use to take it to school and everyone circled what shoes they wanted. I would move to Toronto as well if I had to chose.
Hey fly fam. I have my first long YYC layover next week. Looking forward to exploring the sites you visited. Thx! Btw, I’ve never heard of CWA. However, my husband use to get Eastbay catalogs. lol. Safe travels✈️

I appreciate you for checking in, glad to see you're still around.
My brother and I were always ordering on Eastbay. My mom would make us give her the money and she would purchase on her card.
I wish my mom would have used her card, she didn't trust it so I had to mail a money order.
