As someone who's had an M21 for a couple years, I would like to make a couple comments on it. As an outdoor optic it's fantastic. I regularly shoot out in the deserts of Utah and in broad daylight, I favor that optic over a red dot. But washout is a real concern, it is not an optic I would use for home defense. At home, in the dark, it washes out too easily if i turn on my WML I have tried an LED attachment to the optic, a third party accessory called the REM21. It works fine, at the brightest setting it gets the optic red dot bright, but it's bulky and I'm not all that into how many settings it has for brightness. I think a 3 setting brightness is the way to go, keep it simple. Speaking of bulky, the M21 is also quite bulky and I like it for that. I like how it takes up so much rail space I'm not looking at bare rails, which peeves me a little bit but thats a personal issue. Not a big fan of how they shrunk the optic, but I understand I'm the outlier here. I do appreciate how tanky and beefy the M21 is though. I've been rough and careless in treating optics, and I've yet to make a scratch in the M21, whereas I've dented the housing on my Sig Romeo optics. I think the M21/M22 have their place, it's not a replacement for a red dot optic but if you're looking for a hassle free optic for a gun you're gonna be shooting outdoors all the time, it's definitely a good optic for that. Its use case is much more limited than red dots, but when you have a use case for it, it really does shine and offer a lot.
Its great seeing this thing get the update it deserves. I was playing with getting an M21 but it was so outdated. I’ll still wait on reviews and initial debugging but I will likely get one for my X95
I held one of these in the store… couldn’t even see the reticle hardly and when I looked out the front window of the store it completely disappeared. Go into a store and actually hold one - you’ll see I’m not lying. I really was about to buy this thing and just handed it back to the guy.
I have a M22, light kit is 100% necessary and should have just been part of the optic. Do that holosun did. Put a small solar panel and don’t worry about replacing the battery for a long time.
What is it with good products with meh mounts? That QR Lever on the mm3x magnifier stands out saying: Might snag on something, will break if you play your cards right. Looks like the lever started on a bike. If the push to flip feature is gone, change your website to reflect that.
4:42 Wow. Three whole brightness settings. It's a cool dot and all, but fiber optic without an etched reticle is just too annoying to deal with honestly even with an option to add battery light to it.
Maybe things have been so cynically accurate lately, that this is a dumb question.. How does Trijicon, Vortex, Eotech, Meprolight all come out with what seems to be identical 3x magnifiers? Am I safe in assuming they commissioned pretty much from the same factory?
optics is all about math and materials. All the math for the optics has more or less been figured out so virtually eveyone comes to the same conclusion in terms of lens size, magnification, etc.
I bought an m22 in hopes it would be better than my two m21s, nope. It is not usable in a house setting with window curtaines open or closed. That's the same issue as the m21s but i already had led light kits on those. It looks really cool though and lights up well outside. For my eyes, its reticle was not really any more clearer than my m21s. I ended up returning it to opticsplanet.
@@nateb4543 Just picked up a mpo pro s, and it had made in the Philippines on the box. Was shocked to see it, and a little disapointed. The mounting design is suspect.
Meprolight makes good optics but I believe they are very overpriced for their features (or lack of them). Since they are a strategic industry to Israel and have secure military contracts, I don’t think their prices will go down any time soon.

Did he win the Presidency?
Hahaha

A red dot without batteries sounded great... until I heard all the downsides that are then re-solved with batteries! 🙃

Maybe I missed it, but does that magnifier use its own footprint, or is it compatible with other brand's mounts?
It works with unity mounts and such I think copies eotech
Any company that uses their own proprietary footprint is a dildo. So I hope it's standard.
It's a carbon copy of the vortex micro3x, so I'm certain works with all the stuff the vortex can use.
It's compatible with Unity mounts.
@@meprolight_1990 Fantastic, this is exactly what I was hoping to hear. I assume that includes the MMX4 as well?
2032 is not an odd size it's a normal watch battery and also in most key fobs. Just about every store in the USA has them.

Made for the tavor/x95 platform. Feels great on those and weird on everything else.

Are these imported from the island of Meepos? Is Balki a co-owner?
The M22 is made in Israel.
I really want one with the polarizer
Just do it.

Is there a polarizer/flash guard available for the M22?

If not, that at least get all their parts from the same places.
And cost WAY too much for a simple 3x with a diopter

Are they made in Israel, or the Philippines?
At least a few years ago, everything was made in Israel or US, im very confident. Can't say for sure

Yes the magnifier is made in China.
