Are the ingredients between the old and new palettes different at all? I'm wondering if the age of the original palettes might cause the shadows to swatch differently.

Oh I wish I had mentioned this in the video! The ingredients are not on the back of the older ones, unfortunatly! But I would guess they are, due to how they feel different. (the ingredients are on the back of the newer ones because they come without a sleeve)

Spotted in Scotland= for a green scheme and a foggy mystic look
Iconic in Iceland =colour way inspired by Aurora borealis
Magnificent in Morocco for good terracotta and bright fun pops of colours
    And for my own city🤓
Mystified in Montréal where we would see the culture shock between French and English cultures clashing together and working in a unique way with a split palette of two complimentary shades 🤔

I'd like to see a "Raving in Reykjavik" or "Rocking in Reykjavik" palette with lots of super sparkly club-going kinds of shades, including a black shade (or other deep matte) with topper shades that could be worn over the deep matte or worn alone to create different looks. I think there were a few reasons they made the change. One, could very well be that they found a new manufacturer and the quality just improved. The other thing I noticed is that they got rid of the mirror which means it’s more recyclable, but mostly less expensive. I also think it is probably a lot cheaper to have all the inner pan palette holders be the same (white) instead of with the custom printing that they had on the other palettes. I suspect that they are saving a good chunk of change in the new packaging, which is a win for customers since the quality of the product actually improved. And I think the person who commented about ip may be spot on about the Chicago palette. That may be the same for London too.

I remember the reviews for the Chicago and many critiques were about it not being representative of Chicago at all. Maybe not admitting to a formula change is also somewhat responsible if the change isn’t extremely significant. It keeps people from being wasteful while also preventing people doubting their prior products

Anyone else super stoked about Trendy in Tokyo? I bought the original and was so disappointed that I just decluttered it. I LOVE that they reformulated!

I got my first bh palette today. I was wanting passion in Paris but I found the Switzerland palette in Marshalls so I got that one. I really like the bh color stories and I travel a lot so I like palettes that are versatile. It’s very hard to find the perfect travel palette!

I don't really care where they go next... but I want the LA palette. I think now that good pastel palettes are coming out, pastels are may favorite colorful looks.
I duped the vibes of the flower punk palette recently by combining the Juicy Olive palette and Pastel Dreams and... wow. Kaleidos really did something there with a new color story. I don't know why it seemed so odd of a color story to me at first. Pastel is a great transition for darker colors. Which in retrospect makes a lot of sense.

Burning in Buenos Aires 🇦🇷 I live there so I would love to see a palette inspired by the city! some cool tones, dark and light blues, yellows and brick shades would look amazing as a palette alltogether 🥰

@@florenciaortega6543 I was thinking about the same thing, but the majority of the palettes' names in the travel series start with the same letter if not the same 2 letters from the city mentioned in them. hence the title! but I love the color story you put together!

So far I only have the passion in Paris ☺️ (I „blame“ you for that ❤️) but I‘m intrigued to try some more 😄
I‘d like to see something like „grungy in Göteburg“ - blues & yellows from the Swedish flag with some grungy, merky colours ☺️

I wonder why they didn't say they updated to the new formula. I haven't bought any of the old ones since the Switzerland one because the old formula was lackluster. Now that I know, I'll pick up the older palettes with color schemes I like. 💖 Thank you!!

This is so helpful! I love the old switzerland palette but the old tokyo palette was a huge flop. Im glad the improved the formula but I wish they kept the tone of the deep purple because they already have so many burgundy-pinky purple shades. And I wish they said they improved the formula because I definitely would have picked up the new tokyo palette instead of running for the hills when I saw it on sale!
Will you be doing a similar type of video with the revamped alien cosmetics palettes?

Rocking in Rio - a vibrant and colorful palette with some sandy/beachy nudes and urban metallics to show the contrast against the big city and the natural side of Rio.
Amazing in Amazon - a different take on a tropical color scheme, with rich leaf greens and very deep browns, and some pops of blue and red.

I think the color schemes came from the artwork itself, not necessarily from the feel a location gives you when you hear a name. That's really where the disconnect comes on a couple of these palettes (Hawaii and Puerto Rico, in my opinion). The decision to do that is weird, to say the least. Interesting to hear they changed things, though. I only have some of the newer ones but was interested to hear your thoughts on how they compared to the old ones because I saw some at TJ Maxx the other day. Thanks for the comparison swatches and reviews!

Strange, the new palettes seemed more expensive on beauty bay. I will have to look again. I do really like the look of the new palettes. They should have been upfront about it being different though especially if it's an improved formula "new improved formula" is not a bad thing to advertise.
I would love to see some southern African countries or cities because no one does those. I'm from Cape Town so would be amazed to see that. If they did one themed on our plant kingdom, which is the smallest in the world and is incredibly vibrant, then that would be pretty cool.

the only issue is that they didn’t disclose that it was the exact shades but with a completely new name and packaging. other than that, i think it’s awesome that they’ve improved their formula even more. they definitely don’t have the correct color story to the actual name of the palette. i’d love to see a “raving in romania” palette with a super grungy color story. 💚
