- Hey Everyone!
Here is this months build! This was honestly a simple build. Not many tools needs and I also added a crude drawing with measurements for you, if you decide to tackle this project.
If you have any question, please don't hesitate to ask!

Nice work ! I'm making some of these to put around my fire pit. You've inspired me !!
That was very cool.
In my past life I spent a little time at naval air station Glenview. ✈️
That was long ago and far far away.
Thanks!!
Very cool. I love to watch you build stuff. You make it look easy.
That's because it is easy LOL! My videos are made for people who are just getting started 🙂 even if you don't have experience, you can do anything if you just put your mind to it 👍
Thank you. 😊
Great video!😊
Nice job!!! They Look pretty comfy too.
It is actually comfortable and easy to store away when not needed. Which makes hubs very happy 😊 LOL!
I used a 2x12 its a bit wider an 8ft was only $9. I sealed with bees wax n oil oil blend. Its a natural wood sealer being close to fire it wont give off any toxic fumes like poly or chemical water sealers or paint.
Now with Brandon is $15 at Home Depot 🤦🏻♂️
Good work! Nice video! I'm going to make a couple of these this weekend. Thanks for the easy to follow instructions.
Thanks! This was an easy build so have fun with it and make it your own!
Easy peasy!! Good video Michelle.
Thanks Bob!!! 😀
ima make 1 t0000!!
😘👌
Thanks for putting the dimensions in your videos.
I'm going to use #1 yellow pine for mine 💪
Not a problem! I'm not the best with making instructions, so I had help 🙂 all I have access to is pine which, I didn't realize how soft it was, so the backs of my chairs have big chunks taken out 😒 but it still works and hidden after I stained them LOL! Good luck and happy building!
Awesome!! I subbed! I love the outdoors and being around fires..... great job!
Awesome! Thank you!
Hell yeah you go girl! Amazing job gonna have to copy you and make my own if you don't mind!
Thanks!!! Go for it! Super simple build!
Nice build with hand tools....I almost turned the volume down and me being a Deadhead turned it up. Who is that playing Don't look back? Anyways very enjoyable
Thanks for watching! I love working with hand tools 🙂 as for the music, this was an early video, so I think I did all the edits from my phone and used whatever music it had LOL!
good
thanks
Made these years ago for teepee living.
Nice
It should read 2" by 10" by 8'
Typos are wonderful!!
I don't think thos measurements are right at the beginning. It says 2 inch by 10 inch by 8 inch. That's supposed to be 8 foot I assume.
Yes, I think you are correct. I used 8ft boards. Thank you for catching that!
Great video and thanks for sharing all the dimensions if they're actually correct because I actually think your board might be 12 inches wide not 10" and obviously 8 feet long not 8 inches long but nonetheless cool video!
Great job!
I thought for sure a slight 🤔 angle was needed for that hole ?
Nope. No angle needed which makes this super easy to build. Now, you can modify it, if you want. For instance, cutting the bottoms at an angle so it's sits flush to the ground instead of it resting on the edge. 🙂
Hola soy de Costa Rica me gustaría saber las medidas por favor
What's the background jam?
Good question LOL! Something that YT offered, not sure of the name
2x10's aren't 10" so did you use a 2x12 and rip or are the dimensions off?
I may used 2x12s but it's been so long I can't remember. I think the original plans called for 2x14...but that was not available. I did not rip them down...that I do remember
@@TheTravelingCraneWoodcraftMore most likely you forgot 2x10's are 9 25" when drawing plan. :) still awesome. Thanks.
I do LOL! I may have screwed up the drawing all together, but too late now. This is probably why I don't do instructions LOL! Thanks for watching my video!
I don't know you did UA-cam, someday we need to get together to do some woodworking projects
I've been on here for almost a year 🙂 I definitely enjoy making videos. And absolutely!!!! I'll teach you my half ass techniques and you can teach me how to actually build something 😏
Nice video
Just one tiny thing...
This type of chair is from Africa. Even if nearly everyone call it a viking chair.
But who cares.... great job 👍🏻
I like to call it a campfire chair myself 🙂 but cool info, I'll have to look at that. Thank you and thanks for watching!
5:27 - Wondering what you were doing there and also what tool is that called?
Thank you for watching!!! I went back to see what you were talking about and in that clip I was sanding the opening so the back of the chair would fit. And as for the tool. It's a stick that I wrapped sandpaper around 🙂 the most simplest tool I have LOL!
@@TheTravelingCraneWoodcraftMore - Ah! That was a brilliant idea! Thank you for the quick response :)
Sometimes the "brilliant" ideas are the simplest 🙂
@@TheTravelingCraneWoodcraftMore Indeed 😄
why buy 8ft of board and only use 6 ft of it?
Lowes only had 2x10x8, that's why i used an 8ft board. Also, if I made a mistake, I rather be over then short. But if you are able to find a 6ft board. Definitely use that. Thank you for watching my video.
Bull crap the one I just made snapped in half as soon as I sat on it
Well that sucks. Mine has been in the elements and has lasted a year so far. Not sure what went wrong with yours
No explica nada,
There is and explanation. You have to read the subtitles or look in the description below. Or if you have a question, you can always ask 🙂
2” x 10” x 8” makes no sense
It should be 12 inches wide, but all that was available was 10. So I made due. It makes sense because it works. If you are trying to make this, you can use a 12 inch board. If you left a thumbs down. I would kindly ask that you reconsider.
