You do not lose the second part of the bonus of opals while doing infernal hordes or the other non monster dropping dungeons. You do actually get them at the end of the dungeon, I tested them out.
@@TheDivorced I actually didn't seem to get boss mats from undercity though. So maybe that one is different or it was a fluke. I could have sworn I got Opal rewards from that before.
@@Erdbeerenserver yep, licking something in a single activity is not always a great design. Pit>NM Dungeons xp wise, but you can’t get xp pools and obducite in pits (not counting opals)
You can find XP well in normal dungeons as well, I found out about this while doing the whisper tree dungeons. In terms of obducite, infernal hordes blow nightmare dungeons out of the water. If you want legendary gears to savage, infernal hordes still blow nightmare dungeons out of the water. If you want the realm tokens, the token drop rate of the opals is a friggin joke, do the realmwalker boss instead. My point is - nightmare dungeons need a buff, no one is doing it now because it takes time and the reward is extremely disappointing.
@@bloedekuh I can argue in terms of obducite still, but otherwise that’s why I advised as well that you do them to find an xp pool, once you found one you jump to another activity for 1h :) normal dungeons I didn’t even consider since I thought no one is doing them)) thanks for bringing it up 👍
Infernal horde seem to have diminishing returns in term of obducite, if you're really good at them with a lot of aether, you don't get a proportional bonus. You get more obducite of course but you don't seem to get twice more for twice the aether. And since NMD, especially kurast ones, can be blitzed through, NMD is faster for obducite. You get like 1000 obducite in 2min30, that's equivalent to 3000 Obducite in 7min30 which is around how long takes a 6 waves Infernal Horde and I haven't gotten that much obducite from 6 waves ones. And the longer ones aren't really better because as I said the amount of obducite doesn't seem to proportionally grow, it grows, but slower and slower.
@@Brocowich there are timestamps for this, not helpful? TLDR is do nightmare dungeons (preferably in Nahantu) until you find an Well of Experience, take it and for next hour do whatever is your favorite activity in the game, when the xp buff runs out, repeat 🔁
Just a suggestion, if your video is going to be longer than 5 minutes then add timestamps or create a YT short... Most ppl may not watch the whole video due to its length... Personally, besides Obducite, i found NMDs extremely useful for finding all my glyphs, it barely took me 5 NMDs to get all my missing Spiritborn glyphs 😊
I keep hearing that NM dungeons, and The Pit which is really those same dungeons but nothing but killing, are “tedious” and “boring”. Yet now everyone seems to love the Infernal Hordes? Really? Same ugly, round, room every single time. Running in circles killing huge waves of enemies until you finally leave the room to go to a smaller room with a tedious boss fight. How is that not the worst thing to play in the game?
because majority of "pro" players just want to kill monsters faster and faster and don't care about anything else... those would be playing vampire survivors game... but we are almost there in d4 becoming faster and faster every season to a point of no return. welcome to diablo 3 ressurected only one piece missing the "set items"

Nice information and verry well found. Love how you brought it 😊
Awesome video mate!
Omg did not know this ! Was thinking nm dungeons where useless this season guess I was wrong time to grind thanks 👍🏻
they said in instances where monsters don't drop loot, it tallies up the procs and gives you them at the end.
@@draega570 I would be very careful to trust that 😃
@@TheDivorced Except it does do that. Use a gold drop one and you will see the gold drop at the end.
Tbh - I would be sceptical too - thats why I used the cheap gold opals always. But good to know - thx for the info man!
Pit > NM Dungeons but they are repeating the same mistake: Locking the most important grind (glyph levels) behind one single mechanic.

Very helpful! I'm chronically low on iron and hides, it's a giant pain in the rear. Maybe nmd's can help with that.
Consuming Seething Opal of Materials while doing them should do the trick.

Nightmare dungeons are the best way to get obducite. Hands down

8% from potion 15% from opal 5% from incense 5% from 2nd incense. Some incenses can stack

Yep. It's why I'm grinding dungeons for rep
Opals on seasonal realm, elixers, and incense all have xp bonus that stacks

And now we’re forced to do pits. Thanks for nothing Blizzard.
doing pits for glyph leveling is SOOOOOOOO much better than what it used to be
