I am old and this is always been my dream car I no longer dream to have one for myself but I would extremely love enjoy seeing my first born grandson driving one just like this one in black
Dang! My first car at 16, I inherited my aunt’s beat up 63 convertible, 3 on the tree. I loved that car. It was dingy white with a red interior, had plenty of charm!
Me too. A hand-me-down from my older brother. A 63-1/2 Futura hardtop, dingey white with red bench seat. 170 six, 3-on-the-tree non-synchro. Just like you I loved that car. I got it painted bright orange at Earl Scheib’s. It looked 10 times sportier
@@sharksport01 , Yes. One of my friends back then thought it was a mistake until it was painted. Then he agreed. Not the same orange as the fruit, but more vermilion or Ford Competition Orange. It didn’t clash at all.
Started to cry. My first car was in 1967 I bought a 64 Falcon for $400. 170 Special, 3 speed on the column. Bench seat. I loved that car. Paint was showing primer on hood and roof but I kept it shining. Got it up to 90 mph one time on a long stretch. May have had a tail wind. Loved that car. This little 63 is a piece of fabulous work. Took me back over 50 years. Wow. What a sweet heart.
17 years old back in highschool, 63 Ford Sprint 260 V8, Three speed on the floor , loved that car painted firemist green, tan interior. Great Job sounds good 💪
I’d love to have this car. My second car was a Burgundy, ‘63 Falcon Futura, 260 V8, automatic w/bench seat. Great car, lots of memories. This build is over the top 👍🏻
The '65 and '66 Mustang fastback was a real looker but this body style offers more practicality. I would take one of these in a heartbeat and I had a '68 Mustang fastback.

When I was a kid me dad had a new blue one very much like this, minus the horsepower :-). That was a beautiful car, and so is this one. Magnificent and thanks for the memories!

It was a good motor but I think the 289 is on the throne of ‘best’ if we take it based on how long they’ll last and how much voracious abuse they’ll tolerate. 351W was a fast little go getter though. I blew up a couple of these, my old 289s are probably still running somewhere. Never blew a 289.
Very impressive. If only Ford had offered something similar. The T-Bird buckets look classy. My 1st car in ‘69 was a hand-me-down 63-1/2 Futura hardtop, white with red bench seats. I really loved that car. It’s interesting that so many folks restomod the “roundy” 63’s and not the square/angular 64/65’s.

Getting hard to come by but the Granada rear ends are a bolt in, some had 9".The Lincoln version (granada in drag) had rear disk brakes! Had both, but 28 spline axel! Explorer 8.8 is lighter and availability is still fair around here, and has rear disc breaks! Thumbs up for picking the Falcon over the Mustang!
I had a 6 cylinder version of this with the bench seat as my first car. Sadly it was a POS I bought off an old lady. I will say they got the interior and even the mat in the trunk just as in the original.
That's the way they came from the factory. I know I had 2 63 falcons when I was a kid. Raced one and cruised around with the other one. Great looking falcon.
Sounds like he may have stroked that Windsor to about 427ci. I'm guessing north of 500hp, in any case. ALL that flimsy 'unibody' can handle! What a sleeper.
