I too have a 65 since '83. She's racked up 548700 miles. Had 116000 when I bought it for $600. With proper maintenance they run forever! Still drive mine daily here in fla. So I'm grateful for its factory ac.
Oh, I love this video. I owned two Falcons in 1969 I was 16 years old. I bought my first car a 1963 Falcon Futura convertible. The color was called Oxford Blue. The top was white. The engine was a 170 CI inline 6 cylinder with a three speed manual column shift transmission. I owned it until I entered the Air Force Reserves in 1972. I wanted to keep for the rest of my life and someday restore it to factory condition. However my parent were moving to a new city and state and it would be a hardship for them to move, So I told my dad he could sell it. It was sold to a friend of my brother's that turned it into a drag racer. My next car, was a 1968 Falcon 2 door Sedan. It had a 289 V8, power steering, automatic transmission and a bolt under the dash Ford air-conditioner. The light matalic blue paint was flaking off, the seats were as basic as they come cloth and vinyl, even taxi cabs, had better seats. It had 51, 000 original miles on it when I took possession of it. My dad was working as a Ford salesman at the time. He took it in on trade for $400. He thought it would be a good car for me and bought it from the dealership with aditional $50 lot charge included. When I got it I didn't like it. I wanted a nicer car, but I was still on my initial active duty and wasn't able yet to afford better. I was intending to finish technical school program I was enrolled in before I was dealing with avoiding the draft by joining the reserves. As life turned out I kept that 68 Falcon for 5 years and put 102,000 miles on it, had very little in repairs to do to it, mostly brakes, a battery, muffler and exhaust pipes and tires. I religiously changed the oil and filter every 3,000 miles that is probably why I got so many miles out of it. As it turned out that car was the best bargain I ever had Oh and I did repaint it myself in my dad's backyard driveway.
No, My current car is a 2018 Taurus. It would be nice to have either or both of those if I was a collector and in an economic situation where I could afford to own them.
@@honorrolls5415 I will look for it. I have a 1963 1/2 Ford Falcon Sprint in Storage. This video encourages to take it out, clean it and do something creative with it.
1963.5 Ford Falcon. Navy Brother Bought in Sacramento, and Drove it to Iowa, fixed it and drove it to Norfolk to work on the Nimitz. He was an Original Crewman, that Ran the Reactor. Left it in the parking lot looking for the Nice breeze to blow sea water on the back latch. And, corrode it from sea water. 260 V8.
The Aussie ute was a surprise! I have a nice, original '66 Futura Sports Coupe here in Perth, Western Australia. Mileage is currently just over 27,000 from new!
Have a 65 2 dr hard top with v8 mildly modified had it for a long time going to re paint it again thanks for the video some motivation to geter done my favoriteyears are 61 63 65 and 67 wish i had a 67 2 dr like my dad had he bought it new and let me pick the color and it was black thank for the video
Only one XF Falcon Ute showed up kinda disappointing, considering how many XA-XC Hardtops and Sedans that have migrated to your side of the pond. But thanks for showing us you video of the US Falcon nationals. Sincerely from a 1998 Falcon owner.
If you want to see real Falcons.....come to real Ford Falcon heaven in Australia... We had them continuously from 1960 to 2016...56 years .... Check out the Aussie Falcons and you'll truly be blown away...
Missed the falcon show when and where is the next time they have a falcon event 😕 thanks 😊 they are my personal favorites, I have 4 early 60s all need restored 😉
I had a 65 futura with special order sprint chrome package a.c. I loved that car 289 hp all original unfortunately someone T-BONED it totaled it I had some great times in it memories
After exiting the US Ford dealerships, the Falcon lived on in Australia for several more generations. The most hairy chested of which is this ua-cam.com/video/Vh0m-ByujUk/v-deo.htmlsi=ZMt_dj7pecB_6fq_

The next one is in July in Akkansas this year

Where in TN ?
Was in July
why are the 67's so unpopular? looks?
I personally love 66 thru 70 falcons which included 67s but lot of folks call these years the forgotten falcons.
I had a 67 Futura sport coupe. Sure wish I had kept it. 289 V8 would get 25+ miles per gallon.
Personally I love the 66-70 falcons but they have the title of forgotten falcons ,me I love em
Are some of these F O R S A L E ?????????
You do come across some with for sale signs on the seats or windows yes
@@honorrolls5415 ok thanks--I will have to visit tenn. then.
