Thanks for reviewing, Jim. Have had several Blair Athol expressions, though can't remember I've had this one. The ones I've had were decent drams, but never blew my socks off. Slàinte mhath
Nice notes Jim. I checked back on my own thoughts on this and I think it's safe to say we're pretty much singing off the same hymn sheet. Cheers mucker.
Great review Jim I have a soft spot for Blair Atholl flora and fauna. I definitely get the cola cube reference and it's an easy sipper for me. Slainte 🥃
At the distillery in May I had the flight of the 5 Blair Athol's they had on offer. This one was the first level to start. As a Blair Athol fanboy I could appreciate it but as the other 4 were up the ladder I had most of the 12 to get the palate started and hopefully appreciate it before moving on to the rest. Cheers Jim.
i have to come back to this one I guess but best ones I tried is a 26 yo Cadeahead (in fact I'm gonna be "obliged" to talk about it very soon as it is part of a partly self blended blended malt I was offered in particular circonstances & the bottle has a leaking problem, so I'll opening it probably tonight & shooting a video a few days after (if it is not totally ruined) along with the other Cadenheads I have. Cheers !
Great review Jim IMO Your spot on ( as usual ) the whole FF series is just “ All Right “ would I be tempted to replace any of ‘‘em again ..I doubt it , better , punchier stuff for less cash . Keep ‘‘em coming mate Cheers 🥃👍

Just orderd this and Ardbeg Uigeadail. Excited to try them
Great to meet you! Keep up the good work 👍🏻
Cheers Alan. You too mate.
Both the Blair Athol and Daluaine 16 need air in the glass (and bottle) to really open up.
Nice review!!
agreed very drinkable...going to try your recommendation on the Glenallachie 12

Hi Jim
I've had a couple of independent bottlings of Blair Athol. Both were from bourbon casks, and not terribly exciting.
