Just a tip (weird to be saying that HERE lol), when they pop the menance below, they won't cause damage until the animation is full, if you tell the artillery to drop the guns and run, pushing cavalry into them, you can go almost unscathed...
Thousands of hours played in this game and I just learned today that you can click on the other armies attacking with you to reassign their banners...this is why he is the Legend and I am just a scrub lol
I think I know why you had so many menace below's in the second battle: When the army teleported in underway stance, I think the game first moves the army to the new location and then triggers the interception battle. They were probably teleporting to a home province with lots of corruption, explaining why you had so many to deal with.
Wait what. You can access your reinforcement armies banners by clicking on them? Played warhammer forever and did not know that. Thought you could only equip banners on your main army
I think when u moved the general further forward to have a better position, u actually moved in the skaven´s territory because u actually took attrition there outside of encampment stance.
With the way Legend constantly abuses the AI I just thought of something that I think would make battles in Total war so much more fun. What if instead of every army of every race having the same AI what if they had multiple AI templates. Like random sliders for things like Aggression or multiple different pre programed formations for every faction. So high elves would stay in tight formations beastmen would rush much harder.I have no idea how hard that would be to code but lord would it freshen up campaign battles. Instead of knowing 100 every time what the AI will do.
Legend, quick correction, heroes don't come with their last mount, they come with their top mount (at least, that's what it looks like from what I've seen while stealing a lot of armies with Yuan Bo)
Because there were on foot reinforcements ready to come. Let's say you have a full army, lord included full of flying units, that army alone would start battles losing leadership, but if you bring a parent army to reinforce that has at least 1 ground unit, they would not lose it. I saw legend with 2 almost full army of bats, the land units were not able to field in because the units limit and the flying ones were still not losing leadership
Yes.yes.. Brood go take save cheeses. Then we will skitter leap sneakzy in the shade;3 "In the light of the Crooked Moon Spaghettes Tails will Soon but the great horned ones bells toon"
Fighting skaven is really fun. You get to kill so much stuff. They are really weak to cav, especially Winged Lancers or anything with high charge speed. Their monsters/mounted heroes can be extremely annoying, though.
@@ethanwilliams1880 yeah dude, those damn giant rat monstrosities just rip through my infantry. I finally understand how useful Huntsmen can be in those battles. I'll try and stack more cavalry against them, then
No halberds in a gun and artillery army? Not sure about vanilla but at least in the Grimhammer mod halberds are far better at holding the line than greatswords.
It would've allowed the Skaven to have most of their armies on the field at the same time, so they would rush in all at once, instead of piecemeal like they did.
I think that second battle is the biggest mistake I've ever seen legend make. Completely forgetting about skaven being able to use menace below? That's genuinely shocking. And I definitely learned a few things from this video. Even an expert like Legend can make brain-dead mistakes (other people pointed out not taking restock). Never take anything for granted, and always examine the pre-battle screen. Don't rush things when you have the time to look things over. My personal preference of maximizing enemy casualties instead of going for early army loss (so long as it doesn't risk casualties on my side) is in fact a good thing to do, and I am very good at it.
Average TWW3 player submitting a disaster campaign: let me play on hardest battle difficulty, but not level lighting strike... 🤡 I don't think I've not had lightning strike since my second ever campaign
Lightning strike is a large point investment into mostly garbage skills. The blue line has good capstones, but the early skills are trash. If you play with a double skill points mod, it's super worth it, otherwise it's kinda not.
@@ethanwilliams1880 that’s situational and not good advice overall. Some blue lines are fantastic like Grombrindal or the plus sacking value for Chaos. It really just depends.
