Honda VTX1800| Suspension Preload Adjustment & Mirror Cleaning & Install

The suspension on The 1800F is really firm. So maybe adjusting the rear shock preload will improve the ride quality. And cant forget the mirrors! In this video I adjust the rear shock preload on my 2007 Honda VTX1800f3 to get a better ride quality. And Cleaned and Installed the mirrors because they were much needed, but also in rough shape. I use Nevr Dull In hopes to restore them to their original shine.

I have a 2008 VTX 1800 F1 and I purchased the longer rods for the mirrors on Amazon. At 6' 4" I needed to be able to see behind me.

Mirrors are so underrated.

Maybe try pushing the mirror bar more forward and pulling the mirror more in so that they are not in your way.

I just checked my bike, mine are the same way. Never noticed before. But I have never had a problem bumping into them with my hands. The mirrors turned out nice. Might have to try that product.

@grimsmotovlogs369 I tried to find a 1800, but people around here wanted too much for them. So I found mine in mint condition, totally stock except for the removable windshield and heel-toe shifter. $3k with 8.9k miles.

The removable windshields are nice! how do you like the heel toe shifter? And that sounds like a steal of a deal! That bike is going to run forever! How do you like it so far?

@grimsmotovlogs369 I like the heel-toe shifter. My VStar 650 had it. So kinda used to it. Plus nice to rest your foot instead of being on pegs. I love this bike. Has plenty of get-up-and-go power. Should last me a long time since it is a Honda-Davidson 🤣

Steel wool 0000 works every time i did all the chrome on my bike looks like new

😮don’t Steel wool chrome . Sure it works but at the expense of micro scratches. Which dulls the finish ever so slightly . The😮 STEEL WOOL guys are savage beasts . 😊

0000 Steel wool and brasso will clean it right up quick.
