A more mass production shirt plant is designed to push volume since most of the equipment is automated. A small run would cause production issues since the automation would need to be retooled resulting in greater downtime. Plus the sewing if different, the sleeve seams is generally done on a feed of the arm lap seamer, while a high end shirt does a French seam, Also most high end designers would be concern is their Egyptian cotton is being skimmed by the contractor during production.
