    I noticed the gentleman with the slippers and blue shirt using a whole sardine and not getting a bite. Is it true that shad bites better on headless sardine? Also is it true that baiting with the skin down ( not visible) results in getting hits from bigger shad. Correction, he actually landed a few big ones in the latter part of the video

    • @TrueNorthFishing

      Shad are crazy fish. When they go into a frenzy they take anything, half a sardine, spoon, rapalas anything actually. But just as they can feed, they can stop feeding, sometimes you can see them in the water but they not biting.
      Personally, i prefer a whole sardine.

      @@TrueNorthFishing Tks for your reply. I used to fish in and around Durban back in the 90s. I didn't master the art but watching your videos brings back lovely memories. I now live in Japan.

      I think its the pressure in the water .they don't feed think .Just swim around the bait. I noticed they only take bait when pressure is between 80 to 127 .maybe you can prove my theory. The inside out bait is good. But must be bloody. Red eye sardines. Sugar mackerel. Japanese mackerel and caranteen fillet makes good bait for shad.

    • @TrueNorthFishing
      @TrueNorthFishing  3 роки тому

      Yes, the pressure surely has something to do with it.

    Where is High Rock?

    • @TrueNorthFishing
      @TrueNorthFishing  2 роки тому

      High rock is between Ballito and Salt Rock. Take the road along the beach towards Salt Rock...Ocean Drive. When you reach Rock lane, turn right and you will be at High Rock

      If you take Simbithi drive in Ballito and follow it all the way down. Take a left at the stop into Ocean drive and follow that road until you see a place called Martinique, turn right into Rock lane. Park there and take a walk down.
