Dear Chef Jean-Pierre, I just wanted you to know how much I appreciate you explaining everything you do in DETAIL! I am a person that wants to always know why. My father passed away at the age of 93. He was Swiss and was raised in Neice France and graduated from Hotel school in Neice. You have no idea how much you remind me of him. My father was quite successful as being a chef. When I watch your cooking shows I compare many things you do with what my father taught me. I must say everything you do is "SPOT ON". I hope the people out there appreciate what you do because cooking is an art, and if you want to be good at anything in life it takes "PASSION". That's what makes you soo good and I thank you for all that you have done. All the best to you.
I just accepted a job as head chef for a new restaurant here in Slovenia. I’m American cooking traditional Slovenian food with a little bit of flair! You’re my inspiration every time I cook I say aloud, I love my life and I love my job! Thank you Chef!
We have some fresh tomatoes from my wife’s coworker that will work perfectly for this. I love how your voice gets softer when you describe something you truly love, especially when it’s something you learned from your mother. When you said, “my mom would be proud”, I have no doubt that she is.
Happy Monday!! I love how Chef shares how the pectin of the tomato skin is a natural thickener, which I never knew! Thank You, for teaching us while you share your awesome dishes with us! I just love all your pasta dishes! ❤Stay safe. Peace.
I LOVE WHEN YOU SAY THAT YOU LOVE YOUR LIFE !!!!! It really shows !!! I love your passion and I love listening to you talk and share your experience!!!! I’m sorry that the video eventually comes to its finalli 🙁
When I was in my early twenties, my sister taught me how to make this sauce, it was the first thing I ever made from scratch. it set me on a If of loving to cook and now at 63 I sill make is often and it makes me smile every time.
It’s sooo good huh? I love it 🍝 a quick light substantial meal… we make Chef’s garlic bread 🥖 to accompany and to swipe up the sauce! Look up his garlic 🧄 bread recipe ( and you need not go crazy with the butter 🧈) it’s so delicious, the best we’ve made and tasted! No more frozen, packaged and bland frozen supermarket stuff!! 👨🍳
Chef! This is so easy a child could do it! In fact, I am going to have my 15 year old daughter give it a go this evening. I love creating delicious with the family.
Chef Jean Pierre, you are amazing at explaining all the reasons why all cooking steps are important. You even explain how to choose the food at grocery stores. The best Chef on UA-cam. Best Regards. ❤❤
Everyone should know how to make this dish! This truly is the simplest pasta dish and speaks freshness all over. My dad used to take the tomatoes and basil from his garden and we’d make 5 gallons of this sauce and freeze it. I’d use this sauce a base and start with some anchovy paste and pepperoncino. Great JP!
I love the finger movement reaction when you taste what you prepare.I've been a culinary professional for over 25 years.Your motivation and love are what make me appreciate this profession even more. 😊
You r the MOST entertaining chef I've EVER watched; To the point, Tips, Quick, Infirmative, Sincere, Down to earth, Efficient, Clean, Organized....so happy your video appeared. Respectfully, from Israel.
You know it is a dish that JP really cares about when he starts talking quieter and quieter, and getting closer to the plate. Almost as if he is telling us a secret.
I can make a roux, but your trick with beef bourguignon has changed my life when cooking a stew or casserole. Thank you also for the lesson in clarified butter. It's a complete game changer. Merci beaucoup.
Wow!! I can’t wait!! Love you so much Chef you’ve made my life so much better! My cooking is so much better and Now! Finally!! My kids ask what I am making next?!?! Thank you!!
Tres Bien! Chef.. I wonder if any of your almost 1 million subscribers know that you are such a good chef that you used to have a radio show in South Florida and cook and we would just listen to it and still know how to make your dishes! You are the best!
Oh Chef! Looks superb! Wish I would've seen this earlier this summer...I would've been making it every week! Ok so today I run to the store! Everything you create is delicious! Haven't been able to cook much lately due to moving but I'm ready now! Thank you!!

This is exactly one of the ways i do it ! Although i put a little bit of pasta water in the sauce, not so much tomatoes, no pepper but a very little bit of chillie, sometimes omitting the onions. Nice video like always, cheers !

No Chef, you were right, you learnt American. Such a lovely simple, and flavourful recipe. It's been one of my standbys for years and I never even realised that what I was doing was pretty much authentic. Loved the explanations and the basil oil touch. Thank you Chef.
Hello Jean Pierre!😊I started watching your videos a week ago, and I dont get enough of your fantastic cooking! Love to se them all!😊🌹 Greetings from Mariann in Norway.🇳🇴
Ahhhhh this is my receipe for tomorrow night diner. Chef you save my life with cooking. All your receipes are absolutely delicious and so very inspiring when we want to eat nice without having to be 5 hours in the kitchen. You are my hero! Thanks a milion.
I failed this miserably, in many ways. Entirely my fault. Firstly, I chose some cherry tomatoes that I grow in my backyard, which are sweet and sour. That's my personal preference, but for this recipe I should have listened and chosen something very sweet. Second, these tomatoes have quite a thick skin. Too much skin to chew. Finally, I used too much pasta, the tomato taste got diluted. I'll do better next time.
Dourei alho com pimenta calabresa, acrescentei os tomates cereja, sal e pimenta do reino até murcharem e aparecer um pouco de molho e fui acrescentando água do cozimento do bucatini. Finalizei com parmesão. Ficou incrível.
I have been following Chef Jean-Pierre for over a month now. I love all the videos and his personality. I love him for NOT always being politically correct. I cooked this dish for dinner tonight. I don't usually like lots of tomato in my food, but this dish was fabulous!. The aroma while I was cooking the sauce was magical! Thank you, Chef Jean-Pierre!
