    Thanks a million for this! Are you planning an update after new patches?

    I've also been enjoying this module. I wonder/hope the characteristics you spoke of will find their way in asap. I'm really liking your content in general, but especially the F1 stuff.

      I know that they are having their SMEs take a look at it already, that is all we can ask for. After all, they shouldnt just take my word for it, look at it, confirm it, and fix/improve if it needs fixing/improving. So, for me that is a big plus for Aerges.

    Very good video. I highly recommend posting this on the forums or getting it to the F1 devs. They seem very open to feedback and corrections.

      Thanks! I did sent the link to them directly, Aerges is looking into it.

    Do you plan on doing an update on this with the FM changes? I am trying to get good with the F1 and your videos are very helpful

      Its not much different on the lower end, it goes down 10-20 more kts but not to 140 kylts and stall

    I only have one complaint. The camera wobble from the use of VR, it is like your head bounces while you talk.

    • @FSX404
      @FSX404  2 роки тому

      yeah, the darn VR is so sensitive. working on fixing that for the next video

    Yeah I also felt like the FM is a bit “too good” at the moment, but I couldn’t quite put my finger on it (I’m not a pilot nor an aeronautical engineer).
    Landing is not different though from any other aircraft? Put the FPM on the threshold while maintaining 10 degree AoA (green) on a 2.5 degree glideslope (it is marked on the HUD), then just prior to touchdown reduce throttle to idle and increase AoA to 13 degrees (yellow)…

    Great video.
    The warning sounds are very loud, it makes it very hard to follow your explanations.

    • @FSX404
      @FSX404  2 роки тому +1

      I did the audio while flying so couldnt lower them. Alarms in a plane are loud, I had to fly and talk during them, lol. As a pilot you have to get used to them. Its funny when some airliner pilot communicates with chimes going on in cockpit 😂

      Thanks S, you had some view into this "short" video effort, and people that helped. Credits in the description. This (as most my videos are) was a team effort.

    Nice vid it's a lovely aircraft they have done a great job but early days so hopefully lots of tweaking from the devs

    Though I really like your videos, would you please consider not doing them in VR? The constant micro jitter is a little nauseating. Did you get in contact with AEGRES about this?

    • @FSX404
      @FSX404  2 роки тому +2

      Its tough, my IRtracker is unreliable because of where my computer is (lighting issue) and can jump around, usually ends up being a lot of work and a lot of reflights. In dogfights its even worse because there are dead spots. I hear you, but its not ideal any way I do it.
      I contacted Aerges before, but they have a lot of people talking to them, so it can go unoticed. I'm sure they'll see it or hear about it and take a look into it. But I will send their contact the video, maybe they take a look at it. I do love the F1

      Thank you for your swift reply, bro.
      I hear ya. Nauseating or not, I still enjoy your videos a lot and find your comments on flight characteristics as well as the breakdown of WVR tactics very valuable.
      Keep up the great work!

      @@FSX404 If you have Davinci Resolve, the Stabilise function can minimize the VR jitter, but will narrow your FOV a bit depending on how strong you set the stabilisation.

    According to the real F1 manual, the plane must be flown within a safety limit of i17degr, so not in the red tape of the indexer. The question is if it should bleed speed already with that amount of AoA, otherwise it would be awkward that the manufacturer has set a AoA limitation that don't alow the pilot to fly quasi a speed bleeding turn (ITR) with full AB, unless ofc he raise the nose or reduce engine power. The second observation is that the max commanded AoA with full aft stick, is limited to about 21.5 degr. AoA (you can check it in the external view), and that contributes currently to the inability to bleed the speed down. You could ask Alan if the real plane had (through the dampeners?) such an AoA limiter

    • @FSX404
      @FSX404  2 роки тому +1

      Alan was insitent that you pull you bleed in the F1, also every plane is like that, even F-16 engine cant overcome it (tho F-16 is a "delta"), but I'll send Alan the question and see tell you his answer.

    • @irenemengouli590
      @irenemengouli590 2 роки тому

      @@FSX404 Thx! If you can ask him, also the first part of the question, so if pulling 17 AoA (normal limit) would bleed the speed down or that happens only with full aft stick inputs.

    • @FSX404
      @FSX404  2 роки тому +1

      @@irenemengouli590 full aft is a definite stall under 300. Some planes like Mirage III have a different behavior where they will stall under 280 at full stick but not if its pulled smoothely, only if ypu pull it fast, but not the F1. F1 stalls throughout the lower envelope at full stick. I'll doublecheck the 17 AOA bleed with him.

    • @FSX404
      @FSX404  2 роки тому

      @@irenemengouli590 quick response regarding Mirage III, working on F1 still, Mirage III manufacturers state that you shouldnt fly it in the red (similar to 21.5 on F1), high AOA, but pilots did, just had to be careful not to enter spins cause it was very easy if a bit uncoordinated (extra yaw in one direction). Should be similar in F1, confirming. If so it should be "easy" to add on the F1 (spin or at least a heavy wing fall stall from high AOA) when a specifoc AOS is passed, I'll try to get the numbers for F1 (I think Mirage was 0.2 AOS, veeeery slight slip), but F1 is not a delta should be a bit higher.

    • @FSX404
      @FSX404  2 роки тому +1

      @@irenemengouli590 I got some answers from Alan, manual said you should stay in 17 AoA, and it bleeds energy at this AoA. It’s true the dampeners have a limit in the whole envelope, but even so they will allow the pilot to pull into the red and stall. You can fly in the red, but just when it lights up, anything more and it enters in stall, he thinks that is around 19.5 AOA. The stall is docile and he is almost sure that he never heard of a spin in the air force he served. Stall is at a lower AOA with combat flaps, around 17.5 AoA

    Great analysis, so glad that I subscribed to your channel a while back. I noticed that you did your approach and landing at quite a bit higher speed than suggested on the manual, yet it was very smooth .. I will try it sometime 👍

    • @FSX404
      @FSX404  2 роки тому +2

      Thanks 👍🏻👍🏻. On takeoff it lifted about 10 kts higher, so on landing its 15 kts higher, about 170-175 kts short final (10 extra kts for liftoff adjustment, 5 extra kts for adjusted ground effect in simulations). F1 allows for a nice small flare.
