@Dave_Chrome Also I had Chain with me in my party. I always thought Evolution Worlds was weird because they fused Evolution 1 and 2 into 1 game.
yo I love Mai LBG they are really good at speedrunning
1) You sould notice hes going out of his way to hit the Head exclusively. Allways aiming at the Weakspots. Thats what I would recommend you to do whit Dreadqueen. Her Openings are tricky but managabel, if you put time into learning them.
2) For everyone wondering, the Horn in the Tumbnail is the Gigginox one. A personal Favorite of mine, sadly Songs are not great.
Yeah, I learned QUICK that elements are important for doing more damage in hunts, or taking Para, Poison and Blast I basically learn monster weaknesses and take that with me always.
I did a little bit of Hunting Horn play back in my 3DS Gen days and I had one of each Element for mine alongside a Blast Hunting Horn for when I didn't feel like taking Element.

Thb Glavenus's attacks are Really easy to i frame through even with evasion+1 Is easy, you def could dodge a lot of his attacks espescialy his tail attacks which are the easier one to dodge imo.
I can sometimes roll some of the tail swipes but definitely not perfect with it, especially while talking and trying to be entertaining lol.
The moment I saw this video I said to myself "I swear to god, if he features Tea's shogun that he just uploaded..."
Also you can just stand right under shoguns head when he does the charged jump and not get hit.

The difference between Super pound and Back Slam, They take about the same amount of time, Back slam deals Higher KO damage and Pound deals higher Exhaust damage
Also, Pound is 2 hits which helps with Element because it's 2 procs of element vs Slam's 1 hit
I am way newer than you but here is an advice: I watched a lot of speedruns and a lot of it is being brave and automating the monster.
Being brave because only then you will find the craziest tech for example standing in the safe spot of glavenus.
You have 3 carts and infnite attempts so nothing to worry about.
Automating is when you know a monster so well you have a response for every move so you always stay in control.
This one requires experience and dedication.
My most hunted monster in 4U is gore magala and only after hunting him for so long did I feel like I'm in complete control over the fight.
That works to a certain extent. I do have 3 carts and multiple attempts but that can bog down the video and make for a brutal time editing a 2 hour plus video of me running multiple attempts 😅. Now with my Longsword I'm 10 times more confident and get much faster times than my Horn

Gotta do other things in life too, but if i could, i'd spend all my waking hours playing MH 😭

Good old nargacuga is pretty good to practice on to get a feel for the timing on s with guild imo you'd still have to adjust with other monsters but at least you'd get a better idea when the invincibility begins
Bro the main difference is that they know where the monster's gonna put their head after every attack and know what the tell for every attack is. It's the same basic concept that hammer's gameplan is based on. Maybe trying out some hammer might make you better with HH?
Love this, I’m at this exact same stage of feeling a plateau. I think I need to hit the head more and get some evade plus skills. Need your talisman haha

Sitting on the mon is the optimal way to deal damage in gu. Mimimise downtime in damage dealing as much as possible. Funny enough this does not apply to World, since clutch claw can help with that stuff.
"i don't know how you play guild" as someone playing 4u HH which is basically guild against G Rank endgame monsters I honestly don't know just stay saucy with it
I only used LS in 4U, but with this game, something like. Hellblade tail slam that explodes, if you didn't have any of the evasion Hunter arts. How would you dodge that?
I have seen people do glavenous speedruns live, its crazy how they dodge shit with guild style

They can be good for learning positioning and safe zones for certain monsters

also just beat dreadqueen ex as a cat solo, not as bad as i thought it would be but i did take 42 min to finish it, i also used a thunder weapon over dragon cuz i was too lazy to get a good dragon boomerang weapon, am not going to be lazy for the rest of them lol
Both variants of the centaurs are extremely easy to ko in most fights. If you aim for their heads exclusively they will get knocked at least 4 or 5 times before the hunt ends

iirc the astalos horn is a pretty special case since it has its raw side covered well (300 raw, 20 affinity and natural purple) and then also supported by high element(40+ thunder),
as such I believe its used on grimclaw, rustrazor, and soulseer. the shogun video uses jho ceana with it, but typically it can sustain with just razor sharp
other elemental hunting horns with iirc quite specific use cases also include old fatalis, agnaktor if youre interested. I see hellblade hunting horn being used quite competitively which I believe youve already crafted

Yep! I used Jho cena because I was lazy, you're better off running something like thunder attack +2 or Challenger +2 over razor sharp with the astalos horn.
