i always find these tribute performances to be boring and NOT inspiring nor uplifting. guess it's just personal taste.

im a huge, big fan of U2 music , but not this stuff , and there's a day coming when the original true meaning of the rainbow🌈 will be reinstated. Hallelujah
FYI: The Kennedy Center Honors has used the rainbow colors since it was started in 1978. It wasn't even used for LGBTQ events yet. The designer of the ribbon they give the honorees said: The wide rainbow-colored ribbon hung around the necks of the recipients and prominently noticeable when the events are televised, symbolizes "a spectrum of many skills within the performing arts" according to creator Ivan Chermayeff. And even when the rainbow is used to symbolize Gay and other groups -- it stands for the recognition of diversity of all humans, including straight people. It is meant to be all inclusive, not exclusive. It's too bad that ignorance and selfishness dominate the conversation today.
As a U2 fan, one of my least favourite of their songs. I love this rendition of it though, brilliant!

With the untold billions of dollars sent to Ukraine over the past 16 months, you would think one of their preeminent singer songwriter wouldn’t have to wear garbage bags to an event like this.
Those millions are for weaponry and medical aid to the Ukrainians, who are putting up their blood sweat and tears as collateral in the fight for Global democracy being played out in their back yard. I don't think fashion comes very high on their list of priorities.

Her voice was incredible, she hit notes many others can't so I'll disagree with you there, and just look up at bono's face when she hit her highest note, they were impressed.

Jamala sucks her voice is ear piercingly loud Brandi and Hozier are good but Jamala’s want to be louder than any of the other singers so she can stand out and be heard about all the others for u2. It doesn’t work that way. It’s terrible
