So many golden moments here. Luffy, who never backs away, telling them all to run. Sanji, who learnt to fight with his legs because his hands were too important to him, holding on to that Pacifista with his bare hands. Brook, who has already died once and has just joined the crew, ready to lay down his life once again. Chopper, who hated being called a monster all his life, becoming one at a moment's notice to help his friends. Zoro, normally so stout and dependable, as weak as a babe and relying on everyone else to save him. Usopp, who never misses a shot, unable to hit his target at point blank range. Franky, who treasures Cola, using all he had in one shot just to push one of the enemies a bit further away.
And, despite all of the above AND an absolute legend helping them, all of them getting absolutely rolled like they have never been before.
Usopp actually ran to fight instead of running away

The desperation from the crew in these episodes always makes me tear up. Luffy screaming for everyone to run away; Sanji desperately grabbing PX-1 to let Zoro, Usopp, and Brook run away; Chopper immediately using 3 rumble balls to turn into a monster
This arc was when I knew OP was something special. This stuff is so rarely spoiled for people because that's how good it is. Top moments, on top of more goated moments with importance that are still being felt to this day in the manga.
It's a shame some flavours of donuts are spoiled

And Usopp was so brave too. Man was literally afraid so much he was shortly paralyzed but still desperately held trough to save his friends life. Just for it all seemingly not to matter at all
this is it, this is the moment, the arc started much earlier but this exact point in time is when everything changed in one piece, and is one of the most major events that cements the series in the category of "great," it all starts here. Jack, prepare for the wildest ride of your life, your heartstrings are going to get violently yanked in ways you never would've expected

Honestly,I love every moment where Oda gets to be Toriyama's biggest fan,like Robin closing the Pacifista's mouth so the beam blows up in his face,just like what Krilin does to Recoome on Namek!
Also yeah,this is the most hype and anxiety inducing part of One Piece...YET.
My favourite DBZ reference by Oda is at Dressrosa when Gladius expanded and threatened to explode if attacked, the scene is very similar to Cells self destruct scene. Even Bartholomeo's pose is reminiscent of Gohan's

We knew it was DIRE when Rayleigh had to step in and Luffy had to tell the crew to run. You can feel the desperation here, the voice actors did such a fantastic job on drawing the emotions out. There's gonna be very little time to breathe from here on out, it's gonna be an intense ride.

Rayleighs entrance has to be the best entrance in all 1k episodes of one piece. I cant think of a better entrance for a character.
Great entrances are Rayleighs trademark - he already did so in the auction house. As Dwayne Johnson said in Jumanji - Welcome to the jungle: "This smoldering intensity comes just naturally."

Lol Kaido's entrance is the best one for me,like till date. Mf jumped off the clouds just to off himself and stood up like nothing even happpened. Some other entrances that r my personal favs are Shanks' entrance to stop the war, Kata's future sight flex,Luffy's entrance during marineford, Jimbei's entrance in Wano etc.....

god, sabaody is so fucking good. its just peak after peak and the pacing is phenomenal in this arc.
best arc in terms of rising action, it starts fun and just keeps getting more and more dire with each page, the only lull is the lore dump in rayleighs house which is still hype.
@@uuh4yj43insane how the only lull revolves around the lore of a crew mate for a captain that began the entire backbone of One Piece.
Next session might contain "the end of the strawhats" the last episode that was airing in Germany before they took a long, long break from dubbing and what got me to watch onepiece with subtitles
The intensity of these few episodes are just insane. Even in the end of Thriller Bark, they kinda have some time to rest before things escalated. But here, it's just one after the other, and it makes you feel the excitement as well when everything happens so fast and so out of hand.. just looooveed it

The "all for one/one for all" is originally from the three musketeers (by Alexandre Dumas), and has been used in fiction a lot since then to symbolise loyalty. Slightly different in MHA, though, heh.

In Dragon-Ball was character named Yajirobe
He and Santomaru based on same Japanese legend.
Goku said that Yajirobe have similar voice to Krillin
And after that he was voiced by same voice actress.
And also she is voice actress for Luffy. That why she is also voicing Sentomaru. Cuz he supposed to sound like Yajirobe.

Kizaru and Sentomaru aren't actually related, it's a mistranslation, or like, a too literal translation. To make things simple, Sentomaru's basically just calling him old.

Saboady archipelago might be one of the most stressful and hype arcs so far :)
If it would have stayed with just Zoro disappearing I wouldn´t have been worried. That guy has such a bad sense of direction, it doesn´t matter if you teleport him to nirvana or just down the street, you would have to search for him anyways. And somehow he always ends up at the right place

Ah, we're finally here, the first time luffy felt true, pure terror
This is my new favorite hobby rewatching OnePiece with ishinobi
Barthlomew Kuma is the warlord. He ate the nikyu nikyu no mi (paw paw fruit). He is also modified cyborg like franky but has a devil fruit. Then there is The Pacifista. They are made by vegapunk and have the same body structure as kuma and light attacks similar to kizaru. They are not related to kuma or are kuma's brothers or some clones. It just that vegapunk designed there bodies like kuma's.
I remember watching these episodes. Probably one of the most intense moments ever. Just accepting defeat but still getting their asses kicked
Hhhnnmgngn my heart is pounding so hard, these episodes are always the most anxiety and dread inducing.

but also it's the start of one of the greatest arc of One Piece

This chapter hits much² harder when it was still on going and we don't know if zoro really still alive or not, if this is really the ending for Straw Hat Crew.
But you now know One Piece still has 500+ episode going, so deep inside you know everything would be alright

I felt like Steve Rogers fighting Thanos with his shields trying to hold him back in Infinity war is the equivalent of Sanji grabbing onto Kuma trying to hold him back by his leg. Pretty Uncanny resemblance
LOL, "Three for One and One for All" is a famous quote from 'The Three Musketeers', a french old novel, there's even live-action movie adaptations.
Also this arc came out many years prior to the inception of "My Hero Academia", in fact Naruto was still airing at that time. I think a much better title than both, "Hitman: Reborn" was still airing but I can't recall correctly.

Oda said the Supernovas were a last minute addition to make the arc more interesting. Then they got a life of their own and became very relevant.

Some of the episodes that follow that may be labelled as "filler" are not actually filler. They are adaptations of cover stories from the manga. I would suggest not to skip them when you get there, even though they are still a bit far away from here.
