1hp... the mass air flow sensor will know too much air is coming into the engine and will compensate (CPU adjusting valve timing) so there is no gain. Manufacturers make sure your engine is running at optimal performance to its specifications. You need to modify the CPU but I have found none for 5th gen Altima.
Hp gains if any will only be at full throttle and high rpm. The gain will come from less air flow restriction over paper. Unfortunately with this setup the gain will be lost once the engine warms up and your intake starts sucking warm air. The factory system is setup is draw air from the nose of the car where the air is cooler than the engine bay. Keep the factory box and slap a $55 k&n filter in there.
You won't get a difference other than sound. You gain about nothing because the MAF will recalculate and adjust the air. Cold Air, Short Air, are nothing more than a sound modification in the end. You need to completely reduce the intake and exhaust lines to get any gains and even that they are not much.
Whaaat no Heat shield? Good thing i went with K&N
Put one in a 2012 Altima, but took it off back, because it keeps throwing codes engine lights come on and off all the time
You must’ve installed it wrong
Nice cool look and sounds amazing.
How much of a difference is it horsepower wise

David Bryant that’s what I did and that’s perfect
Now u r ready to compete with GTR 😆
nice
hot air intake
Are there any gains for this intake setup?
no
mabey like 2 or 3 horsepower along with making your car a little louder
without a heatshield
this video and car lost performance
Will this fit the 2013 altima coupe? Thanks!
Plan on putting one in my altima
Haris Mehadzic did you notice a big difference?

Not legal in Cali? Damn, nothing legal in cali nowadays. Big L👎👎
Immediately disliked the video because of the music. Nothing against the music, but it's completely unnecessary and kinda annoying.
😂😂😂😂😂
