- How to install Android based 9-inch touchscreen display stereo in Nissan Altima 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 model years without original Stereo. In addition this unit allows to expand your Nissan Altima with Dash Board camera, Back-up camera and CarPlay/AndroidAuto modules, access Android PlayStore with tons of Apps.
You can use same instruction for removing Nissan Altima 2013-2018 Stereo head unit.

Holy sh**!!! He made that look so easy. If I tried this I would need to take a 2 week vacation from work and then I'd need another 2 weeks to recover for the 2 weeks I spent trying to get it right...LOL

Only thing I would suggest to anyone that is putting in a new stereo for the first time is to test the radio after all the wire harnesses are hooked up before you put all the trim back on so you don't have to take everything apart again if you do end up screwing up the installation!

Thank you for such an awesome install video. Great work you really took it step by step to show and explain every part. I have a Altima 2015 TiS 3.5 V6. It already has sat nav ect but is such a standard head unit which I had to have changed over twice because of faulty models. That particular head unit was faulty in the Altima, X-Trail, Pulsar and Qashqai. So they had to swap over the units in thousands of vehicles. I don’t know if this was worldwide but this happened here in Australia. Am happy with the unit now but can’t wait to get one that has CarPlay and Android. Thanks again for an awesome vid keep the awesomeness coming. ⭐️🙏🏼👍🏼😜

Eric Baez its been now 2 months since I’ve had still works fine only issue I’m having is the lights for the controls on the side of it sometimes turning off on their own I constantly have my hotspot connected so speed on it is determined on my phone service but other than that I can’t really complain its a really good stereo install took roughly 30 mins

morenita091 Not distortion at all. My first impression was surprised because the sound was not as I expected. However, The equalizer offers a wide variety of sound configurations. Once you equalize it you can get even better sound quality...
Does it have amp preouts? How about steering control?

If you have the Bose sound system model they’ll have an amp dedicated for the speakers so I think it would be a problem

Nice and clear video. Thank you for sharing it. The only thing I would do different (and if possible, I don't know) is to let one of the USB cable that you store in the glovebox just below the radio and back to the climate control. You know, in that hidden place where there is a courtesy light.

You would need a connection to retain the camera.

After watching this video you can do it yourself! Everything is plug and play. This is not hard even if your not mechanically inclined.

It is bluetooth but for carplay you need a usb some high end radios have bluetooth carplay

Use the stock stereo, Splice into the rear speaker wires with an rca to wire conversion

Yes he said it in the video the harness he installed had an option for it but the car didn’t come with a back up camera
Can't you use the already built-in mic camera wire that's attached to the radio already. I think you just need to add a GPS antenna

I have to ask,when and where do you plug your ac/heater harness to?,I have a 2013 altima sv rear view camera no GPS, and I bought the same radio for it ,but it doesn't have the plug for the ac/heater harness, everything work on the new android stereo on my car GPS, wifi,rearview camera etc ,but I have no ac/heater, can someone help me out any advice would be appropriated, thanks
You were able to keep the rear view camera?
@@se9882 everything was working perfectly rear view Camara radio wifi connection I was able to watch UA-cam videos or movies online while I was driving, but the ac wasn't working cause the harness that came with the stereo was too big ,so I was driving without ac 🥵🥵🥵🥵

All these new kits say they dont fit 16-18 ;last of the 5th gens I could go double din w scosche kit but theyre only 7 inches...
They all fit no problem i prefer the 9" that keeps the stock vent hood over the 10" that covers the vents
would the cable that you hid in the box reach to the center counsel? like instead of putting it there would it reach under the center counsel for a much neater appearance other than having the cable dangling from the box?
It didnt look like it would from the video, but you could just use an extension or even connect it to the usb port in front of the gear lever.
Our cable is about 4ft long, it should reach centre console if wired precisely. Thank you.

Any suggestions as to where we can get the wire harness, I have the exact same factory stereo, but finding the harness has been crazy hard most of the install places don't carry it, & one I looked up that it tells you is compatible with your car only has for the speakers & power block. So missing the other parts of the connections.
