      Two years later; same story! Actually I'm doing a personal study of why its sew, say, so difficult for an American to replicate the dialect and pronunciation of the word so. Australia is more difficult than the Britains.

    Just saying, something made in China doesn't mean anything about its quality. I have few cases that made in China just as good as hiscox or bam, but lot cheaper, because labor is lot cheaper in China.

    Yes there is a big difference in quality on the GEW/BAm and the made in China imitations - believe me - I’ve seen the nicks and gpuges in those cheaper cases! I put my money on the Gewa carbon fiber case, although I will note that one of the latches broke after a couple of years. If I find time to take it in to the dealer, I’m sure it would be replaced for free. I had an older BAm case, and when the handle gave out, it was replaced free after more than ten years. Try getting that service on a made-in-China case!!!

    Я желаю приобрести футляр для виолончели 4 / 4 супер легкий, есть такая возможность?

    • @sydneystringcentre
      @sydneystringcentre  3 роки тому

      Да, дела BAM или GEWA очень легкие. Если вам нужно что-то сверхлегкое и прочное, то они, как правило, дороже. Хорошим компромиссом может стать приобретение корпуса из чистого поликарбоната GEWA. Они прочные, легкие и довольно доступные.

    Excuse me, the Hiscox does NOT use polystyrene, it uses polyurethane!

    • @adlibdigitalmedia
      @adlibdigitalmedia 6 років тому +1

      Hi Andrea, I think Doug said in the video that it is made from moulded ABS plastic but the inside has foam padding... Please note the time stamp if I am incorrect! :) You can find info on the specs here: www.hiscoxcases.com/product/deluxe-cello-case/

    • @andrea22213

      Yes, polyurethane foam, not polystyrene foam as he stated. I'm not being pedantic, they are very different materials. Best wishes.

    Bam is the worst it is absolutely fragile and the rice is a fraud you just let the cello sitting inside and the feet broke
    No costumer service
    Horrible!
