1. review syllabus (write down and color code the due dates)
2. prepare folders on computer
3. to do lists
Instead of notion, I use google sheets and make a list of all my assignments chronologically, it’s easy for me to keep track of my grade and assignments this way:)

do you know if there's a way to sync the google sheets assignments to google calander? That way it can remind me of assignments and I can keep track of them??

Organized because I don't have loose paper and notebooks everywhere thanks to digital notetaking hehe
@@JaniceStudies What happens when something happens and you lose your digital notes??? Technology is great when it's working but the system can crash at any moment. 5 min from now, the internet might go out, cell phones might not work, and nothing previously available online will be accessible...
@@love_nyc_ Most if not all notetaking apps function without internet connection. I always recommend backing up your files, too!

I feel like such a badass knowing almost all of this already. Organising my drive folders per semester>units/modules/courses>weeks and notes being the same except changing weeks to topic titles was THE BEST ORGANISATION DECISION I MADE starting my degree. Also using Google Keep to input to-do assignments, having a different note for each week has helped me a whole bunch.
1. 0:32 ( review syllabus )
2. 1:21 ( prepare folders )
3. 2:22. ( update your tasks )

I'm teaching online classes this semester and this is super similar to how I organize my own stuff and how I think about putting information into my syllabus. Definitely sharing this video with my students!
step one : own a ipad pro XD
Lol this will work on any decent tablet. I have the iPad 7 and it’s just as good for school. The pro is for more intensive things like gaming, AR, mass editing, and rendering.
I was thinking whether a Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite will do the job cuz I'm more of an android guy o.o

you can also change the look of your finder folders using preview for easier visual organization!
change colour:
1. Click the folder to highlight then click "file" in the menu and then "Get Info" (keyboard shortcut: click the folder to highlight it and press ⌘i)
2. in the pop-up tab, click the small folder icon in the top left corner to select it and click "edit" then "copy" in the menu (keyboard shortcut: click the icon and press ⌘c )
3. Open Apple's Preview app and click "file" in the menu and then "New from clipboard" in the dropdown menu (Keyboard shortcut: open the preview app and press ⌘n)
5. select the "mark up" button (marker in circle icon) in the toolbar and then the "adjust colour" from the second toolbar (light prism icon). (Keyboard shortcut: press ⌥⌘c)
6. Adjust the sliders to preferred colour
7. with the enlarged folder icon open, click "edit" in the menu and then "select all" (the folder should be inside a dotted square) from the drop-down menu. (Keyboard shortcut: press ⌘a)
8. click "edit" and then "copy" in the menu. (Keyboard shortcut: press ⌘c)
[ you can close the preview app without having to save the custom folder file]
9. repeat step 1.
10. repeat step 2, but this time click "edit" then "paste" in the menu. (Keyboard shortcut: click the icon and press ⌘v) and close the info tab
change icon:
1. Open finder and click "Go" in the menu then click "Go to folder". (Keyboard shortcut: Open finder and press ⇧⌘g)
2. in the drop-down box insert the address "/System/Library/CoreServices/CoreTypes.bundle/Contents/Resources" (without quotation marks).
3. Copy the desired icon by selecting it and clicking "edit" and then "copy" in the menu. (Keyboard shortcut: select the icon and press ⌘c)
4. repeat step 1 & 10 from "change colour"

Do you input all assignments/exams into both Notion and Google, and why/why not? I'm considering whether I should just choose one and stick with it, since I find organizing sometimes takes up too much of my time. I'm not sure how to implement both without it feeling redundant.

Hi Janice! I just got into nursing school and will be starting at the end of august! I just purchased a new MacBook (my other one was broken lol) and I was thinking about buying the magic keyboard for my iPad Pro. Do you like it? I wasn’t sure if it would be a waste because I have the laptop as well but I feel like they both have their own advantages!
is that the keyboard apple released with the trackpad? if so, do you like it? do you think it's worth the price they're asking for it?
