"HUMBLED"??? In the last two decades these fans fought to save the club from extinction at the hands of property developers, twice. We watched as we got relegated out of the football league. We needed a whip round and raised £100k in 8 hours so we could start a season. We limped to defeats against teams like Telford, Stamford and Maidenhead .. and very nearly ended up in the sixth tier. Sorry to disappoint, but we are buzzing at even the thought of playing at grounds like The Valley again. To watch us get a point there - and for the home players and fans to react like they had beaten Man City in the process - and for us to attract an attendance 70% higher than their average this season - trust me, that is a long way from being "HUMBLED".
@@SamChippeck Yes… but the headline! I get it’s for the clicks, but it (possibly wrongly) suggests ignorance on your part that you think this is a “humbling” for a club which spent 20 years face-down in the gutter. Don’t confuse the tabloid hype with fans real attitudes. The nightmare we lived through has left us permanently humble. We’re just enjoying the ride now while it lasts.
@@GarethJOwen1 I do these titles to attract clicks. That’s kinda the whole point on UA-cam. If I just wrote a whole essay as a title it’s a bit pointless. I would hope that people would change their minds after watching the vid but can only say sorry about anything misleading
A bit of an insult to Charlton to imply we were the expected winners of this very tough away game for us, we would have snatched your hand of for the draw pre game. Humbled is when you lose 4-1 to telford at home or Kiddyminster 3-0 at home, been their done it. Great ground loved the day
@@robhooson3359 I am not that lot lol. I am merely a neutral spectator. Great game though and credit to the away end too. Full capacity and atmosphere 👍
@@mikeking9000 you've spent the 4th most in the league hahaha 7 of our starting lineup was in the national league with us. Stevenage beat us, why couldnt you lot? you spent over 5x they have
@@robhooson3359 you literally lured McConnell and Elliott Lee from us and now have dobson so your team is 3 ex charlton players so if we have so much money then why on earth would they want to switch to a team in a league lower than us ? Hmmmm 🤔
THAT is how you do a match vlog. Waste little time asking Tom, Dick and Harry their predictions and show all the salient moments though you could have zoomed in more on the Home celebrations... I have supported Charlton's rivals since 1962 and I have always quite liked them and the atmosphere was good against Birmingham where they outsang and, deservedly, beat the visitors but they were outsung and, overall, outplayed, yesterday by an attacking Wrexham still going forward @ 2/1 near the end and they deserved it. I have already Subscribed and you will go onwards and upwards, mate.
Humbled? A last minute draw from a shoddy handball call? Lol sure bud

@@GarethJOwen1 which is why I literally said Wrexham were a well established and passionate fanbase in the introduction….

Yes because we don’t have Hollywood owners

I was depressed to see how bad the atmosphere is at The Valley.
The ground itself was fantastic to visit as an away fan though. Iconic.
Humbled? How times change. Lucky you.

Wrexham arnt guna go up trust me ,
