Hey adam, glad yourhome safe. I have gone over my gear as well , and yes i packed for the unknown. live and learn, 60 lbs. to start and ill drop at least 10lbs. next trip. I can reduce my lrg. wolfman duffel to the 25 liter medium, and that would make all the difference for me. The whole of BC and yukon is massive!
I used to run a top case + duffel so I've eliminated the top case which helped a lot. If I didn't bring the technology required to make this UA-cam channel happen, I'd lose the duffel too and just have 2 side boxes. Everything still weighs too much.
Nice kit! Saw a vid of yours riding the Husky in VT with Run like an Antelope playing. I'm thinking of riding to/camping at Dover, DE for the Phish Mondegreen festival. Want to go!? My fiancé will be in Poland and fires are burning my eyes out.. so East might be the answer!
That’ll be a lot of fun. I’m not doing any camping or overnighters for rest of Summer since I have the 9 month old at home. Keeping things close to Vermont and just doing day-rides on days my wife isn’t working. But we’re already thinking about what to do next summer.
Very helpful...for my 1 mth trip down to Baja soon, was planning on 3 powerbanks for my Cardo, GoPro, Insta360, Galaxy watch...my other GoPro ....and my InReach. Just saved me the 2 power banks. I love my M Moto stuff too. 2-35L and the 40L top bag but my Givi 46L top case. I wanted a drone, but, I havne't gotten one yet, not sure which one TO Get. Any advice from you is very welcome. I'm not going to take my DSLR I decided. I'm on a Tiger 900 Rally Pro...little smaller .
I didn't take my jetboil, instead the Fire Maple 600ML Petrol pot w heat exhanger. WOW save me so much space, and time! smaller, faster love it. How do you like the Inf cot ? That Q core I heard is great. I love my Mondo King so much, but too big to take on the bike...
Smartphone is great and good enough. You could consider binging a pocket camera to get slightly nicer images. I’m VERY happy with my sleeping setup. a bad night sleep is really tough and makes the next day so much worse. When you’re sleeping in it for 30 days, it’s worth it getting something you’ll enjoy Q-core is good for cooler weather and the cot just makes it mor comfortable.
My opinion it’s not all what I need but what I may need. We’re solo and going a lot of remote miles. It is what it is. But I would have left the saw home. 😂
Yeah, there were some things I may have needed but didn’t so good point that this doesn’t mean I didn’t need it and it was better to be prepared. I think weighing my panniers is probably a good follow up but I’d imagine they’re around 45-50 pounds per side and the Mosko 40 was around 30 pounds. Less than a pillion but still a lot of weight.
