Good to see the rough-out process. Most people have no idea. This video give a glimpse into what it takes for us to produce a bowl. From felling the tree, or cutting up a fallen tree, to finished bowl can easily take 2 years, maybe even longer. Yet people still don’t want to pay the value of hand turned bowls. Thanks for taking the time to share the back story to our turning art.

Thank you for the roughing out videos. I have watched all of your other rough out videos, but I always seem to learn something new. Also, I would like to thank you for thinking of the unfortunate people in the southeast area of the US who have lost so much due to the hurricanes. Fortunately, I am not in that situation here in Virginia. I am very much looking forward to your next video. However, I also understand how busy you will be with the move. Please, don't overdo it. Your health is more important. Cheers!!

Thanks for the great video Jim. The designer epoxy will definitely enhance all the 'so called flaws" left in those forms and make them into artworks.

Hi Jim, omg processing is a long production line. From start to finish is about 3 yrs. Woodwork is definitely not fast process. But its a beautiful craft to do, the Wood is amazing how it grows and what nature does too. Have a good day. Take care.

Hey Jim: You have a bug crawling on you . Lots of good info on the roughing out. You got some really wild looking pieces there. I guess we will have to wait a few months to see the results. Take care on the move Jim. Drive safe on the way there. PS: I am going to lose a very good neighbour.

I’m sorry to hear that your numbers were down last week. I’m not a turner or do anything with wood, but I love to watch you use your creative mind and make such beautiful pieces! The way you can look at a piece of wood and see something I can’t just amazes me. When I came across your channel I was hooked immediately!!
Be careful on your trip to the east side of your country and I hope the weather works with you not against you!! Tell your wife that she has such a talented husband 😂😂😂. I really want one of your pieces. I really liked the black one with that stuff you added to it with the purple. I think it was a commissioned piece. It was absolutely stunning!! Take care and have people help you move those big heavy pieces 😅😅😅

Hi Jim, another cool video. I work for the State of Florida and am currently inspecting debris removal areas. I really appreciate the well wishes for us here as I have seen some serious devastation (as well as in Georgia and North Carolina). Thankfully, not much here in Jax Beach, but in the big bend area for sure. Cedar Key seems to have gotten the worst of it. I am also the safety guy so the piece of wood you have screwed onto the wall is a good reminder. Safety first!!
    Good luck with your move!!!
