RECIPE (3-4 servings, 30min prep time):
-2 blocks (400g) tofu
-2/3 cup (80g) chickpea flour
-1 Tsp each salt, curry powder, paprika (or use other spices you like)
Knead until it’s a dough.
Shape in small balls.
Mix with 1 Tbsp corn starch and oil.
Bake at 180C/360F for 20mins.
Sweet-spicy-Gochujang glaze
-3 Tbsp each Gochujang, vinegar, and agave
-6 Tbsp ketchup
Heat up until thickened and stir in the tofu.
Don’t forget soya sauce in the glaze

me too! i really like this recipe. i would change the glaze to the sauce thae balls that comes with sesame chicken here in the USA or a sweet & sour sauce like for old style s+s pork., bc I like those better than gojuchan and it is my kitchen
Yeah, we're so used to our modern appliances, we totally forget that 99% of dishes are perfectly doable without them. It's just more work/ time consuming.
Just imagine having to cook for a large family with just a coal fired oven and hand tools, though...

Asian-style spaghetti with meat balls?We're actually have the better one, its called bakso in indonesia and we eat it with beef broth, tofu and rice noodles.
Bakso is asian version of meatballs made out of beef, pork, sometimes chicken and fish, but the texture is rather springy instead of crumbly.

I definitly recommend you to try Turkish meals! Like sarma, cacık(without yogurt), our varios type of salad(like semizotu salatası without yogurt), dolma, spinach dish and İf you like any of this, there is more vegan meals I would recommend

Oh my god this looks soooo delish!! Reminds me of "chilli chana" that my father made, he doesn't like to anymore hahah just feels very lazy.. It's similar to this but with chickpeas instead, and they're fried after dipped in the glaze mixed with some flour and that made it soooo crisp!! You should try if possible!
There's this street food called "tahu bulat". It's airy, fluffy, tofu puffs. They're like literally puffed up because of how airy and fluffy it is, but still a bit crunchy on the outside so not at all mushy. Great snack! Look it up if you're interested.

I need to start measuring out my ingredients someday lol... I never do.. because I use smell and taste to tell if it needs more of one or the other lol. I seem to have a sixth sense for measurements depending on how much I want and I've never had to use recepies

I just made this, and it was SO good! I made it with about twice/thrice the amount of glaze, lightly baked, then steamed some onion and bell pepper strips first and stirred that in with the tofu balls.
Next time I'm making the balls a bit smaller and I'm gonna experiment a bit with the texture. Never really been able to get tofu etc. crispy in the oven, not sure why.
And personally I'd probably better cut down on the vinegar a bit, but that's just because of some stomach issues. Worth it though ;-)
Oh, and btw: I saved this short and just looked at the recipe when I made it without re-watching the video. As someone mentioned you forgot the include the soy sauce in the pinned comment. It doesn't need it though, imo :-)

(did it with rice flour, curry, potato starch and the sauce, honey, ketchup, concentrated tomatoes, soy sauce). It works! 😂
You can try making malai kofta using tofu.
oh dear add some veggies to both the balls and the sauce shredded and largely diced it will taste amazing we call it Manchuria in my place
