Dilip ji is there a way to soften the intensity of the lock -unlock confirmation horn that blows ? It's way too loud. VW states there is no way to reduce the sound level. They can shut it completely if we wish.

+Venkatesh Prasad Thank You so much for your kind words. Both the GT TSI and GT TDI are superb when it comes to performance. Technology has developed so much and the maintenance of the Diesel engine is a little bit more
There are only two differences
1. GT TSI has an automatic DSG Gearbox. So, if you live in the city with huge traffic, it is very convenient
2. GT TDI will have better fuel efficiency as it has the diesel engine.
So, the choice is yours. Whatever you end up buying you will enjoy... Both are awesome...

Remote central locking is available in polo comfortline...???....brochure says that remote central locking is not available in comfortline but opening and closing of window using remote feature is available in comfortline....i m confused..tell me whether the. Remote features available r not...pls help

It is a simple process which can be done only at a VW workshop. Some workshops do it even for free of cost.

No. There is no beep sound while locking or unlocking the car. However you can enable horn sound while locking & unlocking the door. It is a very simple work and some VW workshops do it free of cost.
Hi Dilip, will the central locking system Indicator lamp near the drivers door switch off at any point? Mine stays blinking even after long hrs of car being locked.. Is it normal or should It switch off at any point?

Thank you for your kind words... You are comparing between two different segments. Polo is a hatchback while EcoSport is a crossover. Polo TDI is an excellent car. But it has low ground clearance. Ford EcoSport is also a very good car with a ground clearance of 200mm. if you live in a place where there are good roads, u can get the Polo TDI. else go for EcoSport. whatever You choose , you will not regret. I don't understand 'GST'. Do u mean new GT?

Hi dilip sir, I was planning to buy polo gt tsi model, should I go for it? and also tell me can people at the rear seats sit comfortably.
GT TSI is an awesome car. You can buy it if you like it. Two adults can sit comfortably in the rear seats. If three person sit in the rear seat, the person sitting in the middle will struggle for leg space due to huge hump in the middle of the floor. It's ok for short trips, but uncomfortable during long highway trips.

The window up down system was earlier working in my car but it stopped don't know why can you guide some tips to bring that system back
5 years old you must have sold the car now. 😂😂 I have solution writing down so anyone from 2024 can take help.
Step 1. Roll down window one at a time.
Step 2. Roll up full same window only.
Step 3. While window fully closed hold window up button for 3-4 sec you will hear click sound. Thts confirmation auto roll function is active again.
Can you lock the car with remote and open it with manual key.? And check if it make any Siren.
+Qwerty Abcd yes. We can lock with remote and open with the key. It will not make any siren

+s s yes. It is possible to autofold the side mirror if the car is locked. Please take it to the Volkswagen service centre and they will program it for you...

Programming horn while lock/unlock is done FOC in VW workshops. But autofold mirrors does require some modifications and will be charged.

Vinaayaka S I asked VW dealer regarding the installation of Reverse Camera. But the dealer told me we have to change the existing touch screen unit with the new one for adding a reverse camera. They quoted me a price of Rs. 55000/- for adding a reverse camera and new touch screen unit. As it seemed to be very expensive I dropped the idea of adding a reverse camera. I thought we can do it at a cheaper rate in a third party accessory shop. But I haven't done it yet. I will make a video after installing a reverse camera from third party vendor.

There is no Anti theft alarm in Volkswagen Polo. It is not available in all variants.

Yes. Of course it is a risk. Anti theft alarm is available only as an accessory in VW workshop.
It should have been a basic feature in my opinion.

+Hardik Patel if you want a sound while locking & unlocking the door, you can do it at a VW workshop. They will make the VW horn to beep twice while unlocking & beep once while locking.
Please enquire in the nearby VW Workshop. As it is a simple job, some VW workshop do it free of cost

I have seen some vento when we lock there is a horn sound
+Motor Bikie in the new model, Volkswagen has disabled that horn sound when we lock the car. Even my Polo doesn't make any sound. But, if you want that horn sound you take it to the nearest VW workshop. They will do it for you within few minutes. They will connect a laptop and enable that horn sound. It's very simple work.

I know it can be enabled by using vcd software but it is a necessary feature!What if someone break the windows and open the door! Alarm won't fire and they can easily take the vehicle
+Motor Bikie Vento comes with Anti-theft alarm. You might be knowing it already... The switch for Anti theft alarm is in the driver side pillar. Alarm will fire in such occasions...

But definitely it will have high maintenance cost compared to Maruti Suzuki Cars. For your requirement, Baleno would be a good Choice.

+Uttam Mhaske yes. Comfortline has exactly the same remote key. But we get only one remote key with the car. The spare key is a normal key.
In Highline, we get two remote keys
In comfortline, we get one remote key & one normal key

+Hariprasad Reddy my boot locks properly only if I push hard. If I push little slow, I get warning light that the boot is open. Even the doors in my Polo have to be shut a little hard for closing properly.

+Vishal Vijayan RH GT TSI is the best hatchback in Indian market in my opinion. I also wanted to buy a GT TSI, but I bought the Allstar as I didn't have the budget. It has the best automatic DSG Gearbox. It will give a mileage of 11-13 Kmpl in the city and 17-19 Kmpl in the highway. It is a very powerful car. Performance would be great...
