What sizes are those two cakes and my partners birthday is coming up and I'm making a two tier cake like this but different design lol. I'm a bit confused as to how many dowels ill need though?
+Susan Forbes hi Susan, this cake I believe was a 9" and 7" because of the amount going on the top tier. With any two tier cake, I would do 5 dowels in the bottom tier. One in the middle then 4 in a square around the middle one spaced out but still within the space that will be covered by the top tier. Good luck with your partners birthday cake!! ☺️ xx
That's a lovely cake can we use royal icing on a buttercream cake or just a fondant covered cake.
Thank you so much! No, royal icing doesn't go well on buttercream, it can actually mould so if you want to pipe onto buttercream, I'd use more buttercream to do so. Billie xx

What are the sizes of the pan you used in making these 2tier cake? Thank you
I believe this was a 7” and 9”. The top tier had to be quite big to fit everything on 😊xx

Hi Mira, I prefer gum paste but you could use fondant with some CMC or tylose mixed in ☺️xx

+Shelly Esterline Hi Shelly, I've never made it with cup measurements but I've just done a Google search and for the big quantity I make, it looks like it'd be 1/2 cup water, 4.5 tbs meriwhite and 6 cups icing sugar. I hope that works for you!! Good luck 💕💕
