Back then, no blow dryers. Air dry only at home. It took 1/2 of the day for my braids to dry. So while I dried, my sister got their hair done. I can laugh now but, I’m still tender headed with thick hair. I’m still traumatized😂😂😂

Yup, coconut is a no go for me as well. It’s amazing how different our textures and hair/scalp reactions can be...even within one family. Natural Hair is definitely not one size fits all.

Yes, coconut doesn’t work for me or my other daughter at all. I get a breakout across my face and so does she. My hair just gets very straight and limp. Nadia’s hair loves it. Go figure 🤷🏾♀️
I am t e n d e r h e a d e d and i highly recommend using this brush i got at walmart its like a big paddle brush but the bristles go into fingers. Use that too it works WONDERS.

Oil doesn’t moisturize the hair. It seals moisture in after it’s applied first. Use after leave in conditioner( works best for me, 4C hair).
