My favorite DCS channel. I want to start one in the same manner, doing a lot of multiplayer/streams doing PVP and trying to keep it interesting and even funny. Bullet's channel here is such a great example to emulate. Hope to fly with you Bullet shortly once I get set up. Regarding the F5 - I grew up on RCAF bases, and one such base had squadrons of CF5 fighters. The Canadian built F5s were really interesting, and regarded as some of the better put together units. We sold a bunch to another NATO country at one point, I forget which. Anyhow, always loved the F5 since I first saw them doing a mock attack on my home air base for training. Amazing to see.
Nice work with the flying, Sad to see ECW is still just a constant rolling furball scenario 5nm from an airbase It’s fun initially racking up scores like this but eventually it feels pointless Hopefully alpenwolfs server brings back ingress times and objective gameplay
(leaving my reddit comment here, to hopefully help with the engagement algorithm) I didn't expect to watch the whole video, but I did, and I really enjoyed it. You are a way better pilot tactically than I am, it was very informative listening to the tactics and how you keep command and initiative in a dogfight. It was also interesting seeing you miss some pretty easy gun shots. It looks like you are flying in trackir, and I noticed at least with myself how much my gunnery improved in VR because of the depth perception. Of course, VR isn't perfect, and the loss of peripheral vision could be killer in those dogfights. None of this is meant as a critique, especially since you would wipe the floor with me in a 1 on 1, these are more just interesting observations about the trade offs and advantages of VR vs trackir. I just like VR because of the feeling of immersion, and as a side effect went from being a terrible shot to a decent one. Anyway, the fact that you kept my ADHD ass engaged through a whole twenty minute video is really impressive! I know the pain of making videos for DCS as well, so it's appreciated. Also, the F5 doesn't get enough love.
Thanks man, the long comments are the best ones. Pimax are actually sending me a Crystal Light to review at some point so looking forward to seeing what a difference having depth perception makes. 👌🏼
@@Bullet4MyEnemy Oh wow, I would love to see a video on your impressions on it. I've got an Index I've been using for years, and I've been thinking it might be time for an upgrade. The tech is getting better all the time, and I love my Index, so how much better could it be?
@@CSeraphym I don’t have any prior experience with VR but I think it’s intended as a high end but entry level set, lighter weight, but very high res. Downsides are lack of eye tracking like the Crystal and Crystal Super, but it’s a wired set so the light weight and reduced tech, lower heat output etc make it more about comfort. Will probably need a fairly high end rig to run it though, I’ve just dropped close to a grand on bringing my CPU in line with my GPU and doubling my RAM. Think it’s meant to retail at ~$700, which strikes me as pretty high as a non-VR user. Pimax did recently upload a video about it if you’re interested: ua-cam.com/video/RRQdpsFSxZA/v-deo.htmlsi=Tc8H-evbFXu7GZ1-
@18:30 poor guy was still reading the manual

Very nice Monsieur!
Are you gonna be flying the phantom when it comes out?
Of course
