If you’re tuned into the second season of HBO’s hit series The White Lotus, you’re likely also noticing the stunning backdrop. The Italian coastal spots shown make for a dreamy vacation to say the least - and no doubt the location we see the most of is the resort, part of the fictional White Lotus Luxury hotel chain. In reality, this property is the Four Seasons San Domenico Plaza located in Taormina, a city on the eastern coast of Sicily overlooking the sea.

I would try walking to the "secluded island house". My favorites were Lucia and Mia.

I'll be going in a few weeks. What I've learned from White Lotus? #1 - They don't show the public transport cable car process because it's a ten minute walk from the hotel just to buy a ticket and descend with the general public. So the show lies by implying there's private guest access to the beach (where I'm sure they have guest only facilities).
#2 Based on my experience staying at 5 star hotels, there probably are zero single women hanging out to meet guests for any reason, whether it's marriage or money. That just doesn't happen. I will edit this to say I'm wrong if I see any single local women at the San Domenico.
#3 The HBO show presented a flat sandy beach located 1.5 hours away on the north coast of Sicily. The actual Taormina beaches (in different coves) are more narrow and filled with rocks.
#4 The Godfather villa doesn't have a car where Apollonia was killed and no mannequin!
#5 If I see a single woman near the Church of St Francis of Assisi in Noto, I will document whether a few dozen men gather around her to try to meet her like in the HBO special or in the famous 1960s movie with Maria Vitti.
