You have no idea how much I needed this upload today. Life is going nuts and I just needed this little corner of calm on the internet to gather myself. Thanks for making me feel so much better
I love to see how much your sewing skills have evolved. One of your first sewing projects, the overnight bag was my first sewing experience. It was a great tutorial and now I sew items for my family every Christmas...so thank you for introducing me to the world of sewing ❤
It looks so nice already! I love the colours that you chose. Circle skirts are so beautiful, but when I think of hemming them.. Let's say, it's not my favourite thing. But the twirls are so worth it.
omg, i love love love the redesign!!!!! you're going to enjoy wearing it so much!!!!! i want to swim in the orchid-colored satin...but the floral overlay is just [chef's kiss].
Wow, this looks so promising! And to see your growth since the pink gown (which is already beautiful) is also amazing. Your sewing and makeover/renovation videos are my favourite. You would probably also excel at thrift flips of all kinds because you have a lot of style. 😊
Last video I was screaming for tea length for the garden because it suits the venue. I'm excited to see you change it up for the wedding. Make a garden goddess gown later on lol
It looks like something from a catalog it's more beautiful I enjoyed watching you make I hope you make many more clothes cuz I love to watch you make clothes and I love your vintage styles
this looks stunning already and i cannot wait for then next part. thank you for sharing this with us! May everyone have a super wonderful day and weekend ahead!
First off I ADORE the green dress you are wearing!! So cute!! Also loving how the garden dress is coming. This video was so well done, love the music and the different shots of the sewing room. Art of the highest quality! ✨️
I'm basically making a similar if not almost identical gown for my bff"s wedding! the bridesmaids are all wearing lilac and lavender and I ofc decided to make it hard on myself and make the dress myself. I sadly couldn"t splurge on such gorgeous flower fabric, so I bought some small fabric flowers that i will have to hand sew on. But I couldn"t be more impressed with your creation, it"s what I wish mine was tbh! amazing job!
This looks so good!! I an seriously so invested in your lovely sewing creations, your attention to detail and commitment to doing things well is such an inspiration to me!!
I adore the direction you decided to go with the silhouette! Out of curiosity, do you have any of the purple satin left to create a ruffle on that layer too? Since it's a stiffer fabric it might provide some more of that volume you're after!
It's looking gorgeous so far. Do you have a fluffy petticoat to wear under skirts? A cheap tulle petticoat might be what you need to increase the volume without the expense of layers and layers of nice soft netting.
I'm wondering if you could "solve" the skirt conundrum by using box pleats, to give a sleek waistline, but still have a full-ish skirt. Watched Babes in Toyland recently, a fun musical I think from the 1960s or 1970s. If I recall correctly, many of the skirts on the women's costumes have directional patterns, but they're pleated at the waist using ample yardage so the skirt is full and has almost an illusion of being a circle skirt but by using pleats instead of gathers, the waistline looks sleek. Also, box pleats are a great way to hide pockets!
It is looks like it will be lovely dress! You could make a separate underskirt out of regular fabric just for the added structure. Perhaps check the 'theme' of the wedding though? And what kind of dress the bride, if there is one, are going to be wearing? Upstaging the bride, even on accident, is never a good look.
First of all...feel better...drink lots of tea with lemon and honey, to heal...and rest that voice.😊. One tip about the beautiful dress your making...be sure not to outshine the bride. One bride I know of had beautiful dresses for her 6 bridesmaids...all plain in print but in the most beautiful pastel shades. No dress the same color. She made her wedding dress herself, beautifully done. But her bridesmaids looked like a flower garden surrounding her. Her beautiful dress lost in all that glorious color. The photos were beautiful but the bride got lost in those colors. Just a tip...be sure not to outshine the bride.😉
The next time you are doing gathering you might want to try the dental tape method shown in this video ua-cam.com/video/AM_B5_I_Rkk/v-deo.html. You basically sew dental tape to the edge using a zig zag stitch. Means you only have to sew one row of stitching instead of two! Or invest in a gathering foot of course 😁 This dress is stunning, I love it.

Excited to see the conclusion of your dress, it is so pretty. One of my favorite details of your videos is your music selection. Perfection!❤

Very lovely! I would be hesitant to wear it to a wedding though myself because I wouldn't want to upstage the bride.
Sooo good you’ll be able to wear it to a wedding! I’m sure everyone will be so jealous 😄
It looks like something from a catalog it's more beautiful I enjoyed watching you make I hope you make many more clothes cuz I love to watch you make clothes and I love your vintage styles
Looks amazing! The skirt reminds me of a garment I used to wear in ballett class as a child. I loved it dearly :)

That looks great as is, I would personally make the over skirt detachable so you can have the full flowers look and the bodice flowers only look

Get better, Lucy! Great job on the skirt!
Wow! It's looking amazing so far! So pretty 💜

This looks sooo good so far...it looked amazing when you held up the top fabric so very excited to see how this dress progresses

Where is your white floral top from? It is AMAZING with the floral sleeves and sides!!
I also love the dress 😊
This red top is beaUTiful!

Can the next dress have a big train cause I was pretty hyped for that 😅
Fiiiirst xD Hope you have a great summer dear Loepsie, greetings from Germany xD
Lucy, what do you want to do for the skirt?
Lucy: 'yes'
I never realized you played the harp! Are you planning on posting music one day?
I like skirts with underskirts
Can you please tell me satin fabric's length & width and the length in your skirt.
