After playing around with Aroma I think I have come to a conclusion that probably satisfies me the most. At the end of the day everyone looks for different things when evaluating operator's worth so I'll try to adress some of them. Meta-wise Aroma is....Just no. If you're looking for a strong 5* then Aroma will not be that. For Lupoknights? I can see her being used. She's the only lupo so far that does Arts damage with no strings attached. No need to constantly redeploy like Texas, No need to have a barrier up like with Penance, No need to fulfill hard criterias like with Aosta and no downtime like with Lappland. While playing normally her being used will most likely be a rarity. Her true value however comes from when I'll like to goof around and restrict myself even further. Like my EX-8 clear of Shu's event where I restricted myself to using 5* only I have scoured internet and found out that quite some people like Aroma despite her kit being mediocore, for those people I have good news. I believe that if you like her you can work around her major weaknesses and make her at the very worst decent. Get some SP regen from someone like Stainless or Ptilo, Some characters that can spam levitate like maybe S1 Irene or S2 Chong or the newly released Odda. If someone is too heavy to be lifted by Odda then slot in some weight reduction from Ho'ol with her newly released Y module or Angelina. The beauty of Arknights is that if you're willing to learn and experiment you can get away with a lot of stuff. You have people who restrict themselves to certain classes, races. levels or even if operators can be gotten for free or not. The way I see it Aroma is no different. Just go have fun
All that comes to my mind after seeing her kit is how insane her synergy is with Qanipalaat. 40% more damage + 30% fragile on aerial targets seems bonkers. If you add Ho'ol you even silence enemies, at that point you probably don't have to rely on melee ops for levitate.
I got her to e2 yesterday and she's in base racking in the 💰 💰 💰 Ok but seriously I'm inclined to build units based on aesthetic value and her e2 art and bubble animations are KILLER and that's all I needed to see to press the promote button

@@TaN1KA Misunderstanding of how the banner works in the first place. In both the R6 banners they state that *After* getting one of the 5star collab operators that the *Next* 5star will be the other 5star collab operator. It's not the first two 5stars. Just the next 5star after getting either one.
I think the biggest synergy is gonna be Float teams. Which is steadily becoming a thing with Qani, Irene, Ho'ol, and Odda (Chongyu requires talent proc for float and that kinda kills his usability in this sorta of team for me) wtih Aroma's S2 just adding extra procs on top of all of their skills. She's not set-forget like some top tier Operators but in her sub team niche of weirdos it's gonna be a blast. (heh)
Except all of the units you just listed are out of meta and only got worse over time, and even on a levitate only team aromas damage contribution isnt even close to someone like ifrit Not to bash or anything but it goes nowhere outside waifu runs for that team
Does the skill 1 additional damage count after the enemy get levitate by aroma's tallent or the enemy need to get levitated first before the skill 1 activation?
On a different note video i read that statuses apply before damage so the former?(the number for the damage just doesnt show up since its a diff damage instance)
I heard the same thing, status is applied first, so you do get the extra damage (you just don't get the red number because it's below 150%). You can get the extra damage on the second charge if you give her some ASPD (16 gets her to 2.5 exactly, might need 17+).
Wasn't interested in building her but after hearing her funny voice lines changed my mind. She's cute

Well, her family used "clean" people in Siracusa, so maybe this isn't That weird of a choice
