Hi!,
Im looking at getting one of these, (cant really afford the 2024 one), a year later after this video, hows it been going? Mine would be used for just day to day driving (work, shops etc, i dont go off-road nor ever will) do you still recommend them?
Hi mate. Yes I still love mine. Been working really well. I will be changing it up soon with another ute. Mostly because I’m too close to my legal weight limits even with the gvm upgraded. But I wish I could keep it and be legal. My biggest annoyance is the Apple car play isn’t very reliable but it’s probably an Apple problem rather than the car because it charges the phone, just doesn’t link up fully.
@@AdventuringPals I've been looking at this model but in an extra cab (club cab I think Mits call it). After research on this vehicle segment (read too much research) it seems every vehicle in this particular 4wd segment have issues with DPF's and EGR's and sometime turbos when too much short distance driving has been done. If you've been travelling it may not apply to you, but can I ask what experience you've had with the Triton in this regard?
Hey man can I ask what your mileage has been?
@@positivepete4265 hi mate. Total over its life (107000ks) it got around 15l/100k. It was always loaded up to at to between 2.8-3.2 tons and half it’s life towing too.
When towing we averaged 15-22 depending on speed and wind. And around town it got 13-16 when loaded. In the. Highway when not towing it got down to even 10s with favourable conditions.
Hope this makes sense and that it helps.
Love Triton 🤟🏻🥰✌🏻
Yea indeed. 👍
Thinking of getting a Mitsubishi Triton GSR 2022 what are your thoughts?
I would get one for sure. Love my Triton
@@AdventuringPals Awesome thank you! I have also been looking at the Triton GLX-R they are such a nice Ute!
I'm thinking of towing a bus 30kilometres to my house it's empty inside converting to a house bus can my 2016 mitsubishi Triton handle towing it ?
Would have depend on what it weighs. Sorry can’t be more helpful.
Hi guys, I have a 2021 MR GLS, how do I access the DAB radio, I have no option on the main menu and the FM radio goes up to about 95mhz and that's all like it's a JDM radio, even though it's Aussie spec? Thanks.
Hi mate. I’m sorry, but I have no idea. I hardly used to radio. Mostly played songs through the phone. Maybe ask the dealership when it’s in for the next service if it’s still under warranty.
Thanks mate. Yeah I generally use the Android Auto but would be nice to be able to use the DAB radio that doesn't use the phone internet data up. Cheers 👍
Mitsubishi is better because Mitsubishi the oldest japanese making car and heavy machinery ,Mitsubishi also the world champion car in Guinness book records, many fields engineers
Yes Mitsubishi is a great company in many fields including auto manufacturing. Would love one of their old army jeeps one day.
How much do you spend on servicing ur Ute
Hi mate. I’m not too sure in the exact dollars but I take it back to the dealership for the logbook servicing and because I do so many k’s that ends up being 2-3 times a year. Quite expensive overall.
@@AdventuringPals But as long as it's reliable then what more can u want
@@neomodipa3461 yes exactly.
The worse part about owning a Triton is the shit you coop from other 4wd owners gets annoying after awhile.
Haha. Yeah true but I think everyone cops it a bit of no matter what you drive. I’ve had a Jeep a Ford and Holdens and 3 tritons and The Jeep coped the most lol.
Ha, literally in the same boat now. Considering buying a triton and selling my bt50 and everyone is telling me, don't buy a Mitsubishi, they are shit. That's why I watching this video. Get some real world review. 10 year warranty is hard to ignore.
@@williambuschmann6152 best thing I did was buy a Triton, my brother bought a new hilux and has had nothing but issues with the dpf and is in at toyota again for a rattling timing chain.
@@AdmissionGaming most people who give shit for owning a Triton have zero mechanical knowledge, have never driven one, massively insecure and will fall for marketing every day of the week!
@@johnsambar2658 the only real issue I've come up with mine 4wding is the need for thicker bash plates. Factory ones are weak (same with all makes, my mates amarok even has plastic ones lol)
The front cv joints are weak and prone to failure, I'm running 32s and have broke 2 front cvs.
600,
👏👏👏👍currently at Hobart and life is good, stay strong, all the best 👁👁😊😊🐕🦺🍺🇦🇺
Good to hear mate. We miss living in Hobart. Enjoy your time there.
You need to drive a vehicle with power , that thing does not have power for towing
Our van is only 2200kg ATM. The Triton tows it well. I don’t think I would want to tow 3t with it. Thanks for watching.
Absolute horse shit mate! I towed one of Jayco's biggest vans with mine and did the job perfectly
wow its been a while. Hope you guys are doing GREAT
Yeah mate. Getting busy with life lol. We are all great and hope you are too.
