    Just got reported that last minute, Beal only waived his trade clause for PHX and forced his way there. So I guess WSH couldn’t take the Miami deal. All because you gave the dude a no trade clause. Unreal.

      I'm still confused tho like if that's all the value you could have gotten out of him because of the no trade clause wouldn't it have been MORE valuable to just KEEP him in the hopes that he changes his mind later or the sun's up the offer?

      Look sometimes that works but there are also team with high prospect that doesn't work like the celtics. made 5 conference finals in a row but no chip. Teams that have older players and building around them with strong 2nd to 3rd options... need players like a beal. Beal would've been great with the Hawks, Warriors, Lakers, and even the Pelicans. This trade is just bad on paper... could be wrong and they might be amazing... but gotta call the kettle black because I saw the westbrook trade and it's unsurprisingly it didn't workout...

    U absolutely hit the nail on this. Look basketball is a team game. The golden state warriors signed KD, and the narrative was “there’s only one ball to pass around”. I think that rule applies to most teams. The difference is, if your gonna build a super team, your “superstars” all have to offer some kind of value that isn’t redundant to the other “superstar”. Again it’s a team game. Bradley Beal does not offer ANYTHING that this current roster doesn’t have. I mean it’s the definition of redundant. Glad your back to posting man we need more rational ppl out in this space 😂

    Shamet has been very disappointing since he joined the Suns. Besides two 31 point games during the regular season and an explosive ending to one of the games against the Nuggets in the postseason, he really didn't do much. Let's bring back Damion Lee on a minimum and he would be more reliable as a 3 point shooter for us.

    It's painful being a suns fan, we suck for 10 years, the team finally starts to look good and then we give up our next 15 years for like 2 years of maybe being good! Like the nets just did this, you'd think owners look at the KD Harden Kyrie trio and learn from it, but nooo let's have 3 big names that don't work together at all and have nobody else.

The fit is a problem yeah but they're gonna be over that second tax apron with those 4 players, thats insane and the new cba is incredibly strict so filling out the rest of the rooster is going to be very difficult

    Nuggets really showed the nba that winning a chip is with having a good coach, two superstars and great role players. Legit I think the only team that has taken that blueprint this off season are the Lakers and Mavs. Mavs got Seth Curry and Grant Williams with them retaining Kyrie while the Lakers kept their core and signed Taurean Prince, Gabe Vincent, Cam Reddish and Jaxon Hayes

    • @BlueGrovyle
      @BlueGrovyle Рік тому

      @@goat7651 it's not about CP3. It's about how they're stuck with the hot potato of cap space restriction, as well as limited draft capital. They're essentially in the same position the Lakers were in last year with Russ on their roster. Trading for KD was already risky, and this trade is even worse unless you think adding minimum contracts to a core of 4 players is enough to win it all or at _least_ make the finals again.

    there's a reason why only the suns and heat wanted beal enough to make this trade. That contract is scary af especially the no trade clause that stays with beal no matter where he goes. Much worse than the previous westbrook contract imo

    Great comments. I'm not a basketball expert but I am a real estate lawyer. Prokhorov was in a big fight to get the development approved. The trade was part of his campaign for that approval. It worked. He made at least a billion off the development.I think this weighed on the Wizards: Miami is in the east. The WW didn't want Beal to stay in the East. Big stars who want to leave are more likely to be traded across the Mississippi.

    Several teams have dynamic duos with good role players. The Suns are the only team with a big 3. Lots of championships have been won by big 3's. They'll be able to find role players during the course of the season. A lot of them somehow manage to have career years/play well above expectations when slotted alongise 3 legitimate stars.

    My take are Wiz are in mega ultra tank mode now. Zingis will opt in, but they'll deal him. No re-signing Kuz, will waive CP3. They'll deal players for picks and will also take on expirings or like two year contracts for picks, kind of a "garbage dump" for contracts for picks like OKC and Philly were at the heights of their tank games.
