Suicide rate for depressed men is 7% For depressed women it's only 1% It's tougher for men to deal with depression because society expects them to be strong. Callum probably didn't have anyone other than his daughter (divorced and from a dysfunctional family) and he was sure that as Sophie grew up and started to see him for the "failure" that he is, he would lose her too. I have never ever cried so hard during a movie. my mom passed when I was eight, and during the time I knew her, we only got to see each other on visits as she didn’t have custody over me. I cried this entire movie because it perfectly encapsulated how it feels to watch a parent slowly fade away in front of you and not realize that was what was happening until years later. the disconnect between sophie and her father, the love that is so clearly there, the obvious degrading mental health of calum, and the bittersweet memory of what you realize was a relationship slowly coming to its end. it was literally like I was reliving my life. AND THIS PART oh my god I was crying so hard that had to go back and rewatch it a few days later because I hardly remembered it through my tears

It's mind-boggling that there's quite a few people who either found it subtle or outright missed there's something up with him. The whole movie he was screaming "I'm terribly depressed and an actual danger to myself" to me, but that's probably just me. Pretty good movie, and the responses to it are fascinating. Really shows how individual experiences shape can shape what we pick up (or don't) on in movies, and probably in real life as well.
Throughout most of the movie I was distracted, I wasn’t paying a lot of attention. But in the last 30 minutes or so, this movie hit me like an avalanche. This song is a rollercoaster of emotions for me. But, the fact that that line is cut right in the middle and its like, "this is our last dance"... I need more. Everytime I listen to this is like i think about Freddie and David, and the fictional characters of the movie, and me, and my father who now, ten years after his death I begin to understand him why he did what he did. I remember seeing this, completely stumped and stuck in my chair at the cinema, and somehow recalling the last summer before the divorce of my fathers. When you grow in pain, it's very difficult to take care of others, because you are inclined to cause pain, to hurt others and yourself. Guys, we can learn to be better -- we need to be better. I needed to search the fucking song because now I can't get it out of my head.

The scene that plays this song will haunt me forever, especially because it resonates with something very personal that I'm experiencing right now. What a film, how many deep emotions... You will live forever in the memory of this song, Leonardo.

Very relatable movie even though my mom wasn't depressed at all. It just made me think about the hard times knowing there was beauty in it too.
It's just.. a lot. A lot of feels, and a lot of tears my friends. Oliver, you're a genius. Thank you.
I don't know if you're the guy who arranged this but if you are, thank you. You helped create one of the most powerful scenes I've seen in a movie in a long time. I think I'm forever altered in ways that I can't express. I walked around for 40 minutes after watching the movie thinking about my life and my relationship with my parents. I remember thinking something that was profound, "sometimes all you can do is say I love you and really mean it".
yes this is the guy who arranged this piece, as well as the rest of the film's score. what an achievement

This song is so beautiful omg
I haven’t cried watching a film in a while. This film changed that. This scene in particular is perfection.
This song matched with the images really made a cathartic and both sad scene. It was so powerful to watch it. Amazing, thank you Oliver.
1:49-1:59 sent the the biggest chill through me
The perfect soundtrack for the perfect movie. Thank you, Oliver.
ALL my homies tear up when listening to Under Pressure 👊💯
masterpiece; both movie and this song...
My God, I bawled my eyes out at this entire scene. I was a mess at the end of the movie.
Blew me away. The whole score was phenomenal, the film is a great example of a combination of an audio and visual experience.
Loved your work ever since I randomly came across 'Honey'
Looking forward to your next project
Movie that breaks you in such way that this song does not sound the same anymore. Plus, a side note: 'under pressure' sounds just like 'a depression' which makes it even more painful
Watched this on a plane and boy was that hard to bounce back from
Goosebumps every single time I listen
I can never listen to this song in the same way again
I wish i can watch this moment for the first time again
This version is so powerful and heartbreaking, I love it so much... when I go to my godfather's chemo sessions, to make him company, this song plays in my head, very loud and strong, like it's telling me to enjoy the little moments I have left with him. It breaks me every time, and I think this song will remind me of him, even when he eventually gets out of this. Thank you for making this OST, the movie wouldn't be the same without it.
when the drums drop out and the synths start swelling... CHILLS
Few movies have made me sob as much as this did at the end. Such a beautiful and heart-wrenching ending. Your score was incredible and made a huge impact on this movie.
"This is our last dance"
Thank you for uploading this! Can’t wait to cry all day to it 🫡
ART in pure form
Exquisite. Painful but exquisite.
knowing the song beforehand, knowing the lyrics by heart I started crying when the song started to play, with the lyrics and the performance all film just clicked at that moment idk how to describe
First time i saw that scene ,something has changed my perspective about this song,it's like the first time i care about the lyrics of the song , this ourselves under pressure
You absolutely killed this, man. Thank you.
They should call this version simply "..This is our ladt fance." A masterpiece.
This song has the power to bring me down at the time, during any mood. I love it
The part around 2 minutes gives me chills
This scene is one long agonizing scream of pain and desire.
Es indescriptible cómo esta película sutilmente te rompe el corazón.
I will never recover after this
thanks im crying now.
I watched this film and initially moved on without much consideration. But at some point I started to think about it more and more. And I listened to this song again. And the scene replayed in my head clearly. And then I think about the film more and more. And listen to the song again and again. It longingly digs right in the gut. Damn I need to watch this film again.
The scene that plays this song will haunt me forever, especially because it resonates with something very personal that I'm experiencing right now. What a film, how many deep emotions...
You will live forever in the memory of this song, Leonardo.
Wow, that was beautiful.
It sounds amazing. Perfect for the ending. Thanks for uploading and nice work. This film is my best 2023 ever. From Korea.
Just finished watching the film.
I wanna cry :(
this is so hauntingly beautiful
just fell on my knees head in hands sobbing this makes my whole body ache with pain and sorrow ouwchie
Absolute masterpiece. That last hug. Cherish your loved ones everyone
This movie has been in my mind since I got home from my trip to Vegas and holy shit. The meaning and the execution was a complete 11/10. I looked up the synopsis of the film and I didn't feel the same after. Bravo, Charlotte Wells. A well-done, beautiful masterpiece!
this is our last dance, this is ourselves.
amazing music, amazing voices, amazing film
during the whole movie i didn't feel anything except for those last few minutes, when the song says "this is our last dance", i was crying like a mf
this is one of the best things i've ever heard
Poderoso, es genial el sonido como de agua en medio de la pista. 2:34.
