Under Pressure Aftersun Version

Oliver Coates’ interpolation with strings and synths of Freddie Mercury & David Bowie’s isolated vocals from Under Pressure. From the film Aftersun (2022) dir. Charlotte Wells
I’m a 42 year old man with a bald head and a beard who mainly listens to death metal and watches horror, and Barbie was my film of the year
Sometimes when i listen to this song i feel alive
here again
Aftersun and the whale 🥺
Malo!
Watched this on a plane and boy was that hard to bounce back from
such a beautiful score and film. hidden layers of existence, moments that won't be experienced, love and life you won't be able to share, only memories that enlighten your belonging, with all your questions that won't be answered
masterpiece; both movie and this song...
One more chance!
Baja el precio...
i'll never forget this movie no matter how many years pass
Aftersun during the Father's Day. And DanDaDan Episode 7 - "A Kinder World" during the Mother's Day.
I can literally see the scene in my brain while listening to this
Instead of Under pressure, now this song should be called "On depresion" sounds exactly the same
УРА СНЯЛИ БЛОК
As a Queen fan, I actually never liked "Under Pressure" much and the entertaining, though cinematically not great "Bohemian Rhapsody" also did not really give this song any new meaning for me. I saw this film a couple of months ago - now the song touches me in a way I never thought it could. I cried immensely during the entire scene. Even though my father suffers from no mental health issues and we still are very much in contact (unlike the film's character) I could relate so strongly to the image of him holding her tightly and the camera moving around his back. My father used to hold me like this when I was a little boy. Generally, Mescal's performance is so incredibly moving. The way he looks at his daughter is so full of love, yet his inner pain is always lurking underneath.
Masterpiece
Era un final, un final pero qué devastador fue
Wow, that was beautiful.
The waves go out and flow. A fleeting song, like the ocean.
Such a simple, jet such impressiv song.
The most accurate portrayal of depression ever put to screen with one of the most haunting themes complimenting it perfectly. This film is so subtle, and so are a lot of the signs. Until it’s too late. Just like in real life. Check in on your loved ones as often as you feel necessary. Stay safe everyone.
Sounds a lot like Eternal by Justin Lawson, both very beautiful songs
My husband suffers from depression and I don’t know how to help him
I would gently reccomend that he goes to therapy and talk to medical professionals. Ignoring the problem will only make it worse.
Explain to him that depression is an illness that can’t be cured by “power of will”. It’s a chemical imbalance. It’s not weak to seek help, the opposite is true. It takes a lot of courage.
lyrics Under pressure that burns a building down Splits a family in two Puts people on streets Um ba ba be Um ba ba be De day da Ee day da That's okay It's the terror of knowing what this world is about Watching some good friends screaming "Let me out!" Pray tomorrow gets me higher Pressure on people people on streets Day day de mm hm Da da da ba ba Okay Chipping around kick my brains around the floor These are the days it never rains but it pours Ee do ba be Ee da ba ba ba Um bo bo Be lap People on streets Ee da de da de People on streets Ee da de da de da de da It's the terror of knowing what this world is about Watching some good friends screaming 'Let me out' Pray tomorrow gets me higher, high Pressure on people people on streets Turned away from it all like a blind man Sat on a fence but it don't work Keep coming up with love but it's so slashed and torn Why, why, why? Love, love, love, love, love Can't we give ourselves one more chance? Why can't we give love that one more chance? Why can't we give love, give love, give love, give love Give love, give love, give love, give love, give love? Because love's such an old-fashioned word And love dares you to care for The people on the (People on streets) edge of the night And love (People on streets) dares you to change our way of Caring about ourselves This is our last dance This is our last dance This is ourselves
what a movie:| trully masterpiece. completed by this soundtrack
I cry
This movie still haunts me.
One of the best and most gut wrenching moments in cinema history.
1:59 this part goes hard
The biggest tragedy is that David Bowie and Freddie Mercury didn’t get to see the most profound application of their music
should release your interpolation of tender by blur
god i cant ever recover from this
Just finished watching the film. I wanna cry :(
spotify what are you even doing
This kills me everytime I listen to it.
Reminds me of The Caretaker's Everywhere at the End of Time, same vibes. Genius track.
Watched this movie with my back-then girlfriend. Have way through she was really bored and a little annoyed from the movie. But then this ending hit us like brick wall, and she couldn’t leave the cinema for a few minutes.

This scene is one long agonizing scream of pain and desire.

Watched this movie the week it came out. Still not possible to get over it. I don't know if it's the saddest or the most beautiful end of cinema. Or both ? I'm so confused.
I don’t think I’ll be the same after this movie. I have two daughters and at the end just wept and wept.
put this in spotify pls
Ive never sat just staring blankly and silently sobbing at the same time from a movie before. IT absolutely destroyed me and reopened old wounds. The ending scene was such a cinematic masterpiece!
