Watching the progression from his crazy young self to the level that he has achieved up to this point has been a huge inspiration for me. He took his struggles and used them to create a legacy, but that gets mostly overlooked nowadays. I don't love Eminem and don't really listen to him but he always gets mad props from me. Him shouting out groups like Skinny Boys and Redhead confirm why, we came up on the same stuff and both looking for the feel, that vibe, those artist we could relate to. Even Kool G Rap and Polo and MC Lyte, household names in that scene in the 80s but nobody knows them now.

Facts. I don’t listen to him but the man is 100% Hip Hop and deserves all his success as well as a place on Hip Hop’s Mt. Rushmore. ✊🏽

He names everyone who inspired and helped him to become Eminem. Wow very humbling and genuine maybe he become the greatest because is the most humble. God only raises those the most in status who lowered their heads the most in humility.

He says he doesn't deserve it because he's a rapper not a rocker, but ultimately both genres have a lot of similarities. Both genres tell stories, both genres are generally working class, both genres are often about speaking out against injustices. This is why we've always had such great crossovers, like Slayer and Public Enemy, Aerosmith and Run DMC, Beastie Boys, Cypress Hill, LL Cool Jay's "Rock The Bells", Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Faith No More, Rage Against The Machine, etc.

This was powerful. Paying homage to names like Del,Boogiemenisters,Black Moon and the many old school emcees is highly respected. He understands he was a student to the culture, not some over night sensation. If you like Em or not,you can’t argue the fact that this dude is Hip-Hop.
