    Overall, everything you do and feel for poker is very inspiring. Especially during such ruff times for myself... not with poker, I have a gambling problem, yeah. Poker has replaced my problem a lot, but I've developed a love-hate relationship with the game lately. It's been going well, but sometimes it can be a bit tough to handle. Seeing you be so positive about the game and understanding every aspect of it really uplifts me. I "relapsed" last night and lost everything I made through poker to a stupid slot. It really had me questioning my decisions, but after seeing your videos, considering I just found your channel literally this morning. It helped me resonate with my decision with poker and brought me back to earth. Even after the bad devastating loss, your videos were able to put a smile on my face and have hope for the future, even back at rock bottom. Thank you

      Wow - that’s a lot to open up about and be vulnerable about. I think it’s great you’re honest with yourself about gambling in general. I think poker can be a great thing, especially if you treat it in a financially responsible way. Never play with money you can’t afford to lose. I wish you the best in everything - good luck man

    💪 Awesome vid. Miss your long form. While not a huge fan of shorts, yours are far better than most. 😄 Love the analysis here best & def like your style better than the other lower stakes vlogs. 🙏
    Would LOVE to see more 2/5 or 1/3 vlogs since you're playing those anyway 🤷‍♂️and vast majority of viewers also play there. I actively seek those stakes in titles TBH and you'd be top vlogger there easily IMHO.
    Welcome back & best wishes to you & the family 😎

    Excellent vlog! love the deep dive on the Q6 bomb pot!

  • @kmsnow6292
    @kmsnow6292 12 днів тому +3

    I have some similar thought as yours with the Q6 hand in terms of putting the opponent on the hand on the turn, with a rough % in mind. a) open ended KJ (45+%), b)flush draw (35%) because you hold 2 clubs in your hand, and c)QX (20%) because his would be the last queen. Hence, the difference in my thought here is I’d bomb the turn bet, not checking. Why? Because if he had a) or b) then I want him to pay dearly or get off the hand right there. And if he had QX with a bigger kicker then I still have a chance to hit my flush and beat him on the River.

    • @BrantzenPoker
      @BrantzenPoker  12 днів тому +1

      I totally get what you’re saying. My problem with bombing the turn with this particular hand, is we’re basically going to end up stacking off against a lot of good queens and praying we hit a flush. We do get to deny equity from a lot of the draws but their equity is quite small anyway. For instance, KJ, only has about 16% equity anyway

    • @kmsnow6292
      @kmsnow6292 12 днів тому +1

      @ It’s also player dependent. You might be surprised at how stubborn, or sticky, a player at this stake is willing to pay for his flush or open ended draw, even with just one street left on the board.

    Love the strategy/analysis content! Curious on the hand where you made trip queens on the turn and checked. My experience at the Gardens (lower than your limit) is that very few players are going to be deterred from pursuing draws just because the board paired. Wouldn't that suggest a healthy turn bet to charge the draws? Also, isn't it less likely that villain has a queen since three of them are already accounted for? Thanks for the great content.

    • @BrantzenPoker
      @BrantzenPoker  11 днів тому +2

      I think if I was shallower with the opponent I’d continue there, but it’s balancing some extra value that we may or may not get from draws with possibly having to commit my entire stack where I’m a heavy dog myself

      To be honest the only true way to achieve a solid win rate is to have solid approach of critical thinking. Every hand you should be thinking what story makes sense, both for you and your opponent. It’s also always a tight rope walk between clickable titles and reality, but I figured although I didn’t answer that question directly, hopefully it answered it indirectly, and helps people understand how to think about the game. I do understand where you’re coming from though, and I appreciate you giving me grace.

    q6 hand you let him get there for sure, id have bet my trips/flush draw on the turn 75% pot and if he raises I fold but most likely will fold out his draws nam the way you played it u also gave him the easiest 75$ call on the river with a straight while the board is paired, at least pot it and if he raises again u can fold.. too passive of a play and in the long run will not pay off being so scary when you yourself said he would have raised sets and two pairs on the flop so he must have had either a flush draw or straight draw ... 9 hits draw so if he had the flush draw the 75$ bet accomplishes nothing bc he folds and by making it so small he calls w the small and big straight where as if you make it pot on river he cant snap call... I would have shoved the river after making art 275 on the turn

    • @BrantzenPoker
