Loved the episode! The Oceania region is one of the coolest regions of the world, imo
@John doue Quebec because of its unique cultures, communities and customs, many of which aren’t found anywhere else in the world. I know loads of regions have rich culture but I think the Oceania region is generally one of the most underappreciated
Also the natural beauty is a big plus too
Seriously. I wouldn't say its underappreciated, as much as the fact that the culture has been over appropriated. E.G. the Hula dances in Hawai'i, the marketing of the tourism in the islands, and just the fact that cultural materials such as leis, tiki themed objects, etc. are very much commercialized.
Fan fact: do you know the word under the coat of arms which we say in English as "Samoa is founded on God" yeah we changed it to "Samoa is a christian nation founded of God the father, the Son and the Holy Spirit" We didn't want people to confuse which God we were referring to

Another fun fact, the word tattoo originally comes from the Samoan word tatau. European travelers mispronounced it, so now we have tattoo in the English dictionary.

Fun fact. Tarçın comes from the Persian word for cinnamon "Darchin". "Dar" means tree, "chin" means China. i.e. The tree bark from China (brought into Persia via Silk Road).
