You must say you have a visa on your E-arrival card, or it directs you to online visa..( even though you don’t have one) and then you get it at the airport on arrival, immigration are very helpful…and quick.. Just make sure you say you are staying for more than 3 months..and get an ordinary visa and pay in Dollars…it is very easy and nothing to stress about…. Immigration are not interested about onward flights…it’s only some airlines..
Flew in on singapore airlines 3 weeks ago, I checked with them and they said they do not need an onward flight. My evisa for Cambodia was for thirty days initially, they dont need onward flights , applied for my 12 month retirement visa 2 days after I arrived, paid my money and it arrived in a few weeks, as I applied with 30 days left on the evisa they processed mine over a longer timeframe , apparently a lot of retirement visa applications were in demand so they ran a triage. I still got it 9 days before it was needed.
The problem with the airlines is they are unaware of the Cambodian policy of lack of return requirements. American Airlines claimed that they would be fined $3000 if I didn't have a return ticket by Cambodia. Argue with them politely. The information is not getting to the front-line people. Not their fault it is the management who thinks that all countries require a return ticket perhaps because other nearby countries do though I am unsure of other countries' situations. My guess is the mixup Cambodia's policy with Vietnam or Thailand.
@@zhubajie6940 the general understanding is regular of the embarking country policy is if the there’s an overstay without a ongoing flight that government can change the airline for the costs involved in extradition. It’s not a real issue for westerners going to thirds world but more likely SE Asians entry into the west. I suspect it more about forcing people to purchase more flights and that way all airlines benefit from a wasted ticket
Its often "up to" the mood or the personallity of the airline staff at the time of check in if you need a ongoing ticket. Some times you get a Nurse Ratshit, but renting an online ticket is the safe bet.
Dave , you are correct re it depends on the Airline , I flew from Saigon to PP , Veitnam air wanted a onward flight , I argued NO NO , I have travelled to Cambodia many times , and this is not required , they eventually relented and let me on the flight Peter
Hi we are looking to fly from London to SR via HCMC with Vietnam Airlines so are you saying that they want to see a return flight ticket or just proof of onward travel, ie bus ticket to Vietnam or Thailand. Thanks
This a Veitnam airline interpretation of Cambodian immigration policy , which is incorrect, I argued the point, and they relented, but don’t depend on this , it comes down to the airline employee on the day , Just buy a throw away bus ticket out of Cambodia, if you don’t want to take the risk
About the onward ticket, you are required to fill the e-arrival card on the app now and part of that form requires you to state what your return flight info is, airline, date and port of exit. Used it last month.. cheers !!
Suppose you have a flight into Cambodia, and an onward bus to Thailand or Vietnam or Laos ? Does is have to be a flight ? And does it have to be back to your home country? Or could it just be onward to a neighbouring country?
@robertwilliamson922 Doesn't have to be back to your country, I was coming from Thailand back to Thailand but you could go back anywhere, just enter the proper info in the E Arrival App. Not sure about crossing by land however.
Love your videos, brother thank you so. Can I have a retirement visa and work online out of the United States? Do you know the answer to this question thank you.
@@MikeWood-yc1er That's an iffy subject. I know people who are just under the age requirement and had no trouble getting an ER visa extension. But if you're, let's say, 35 years old, you would have to apply for the EB (working visa extension) and go through all that.
Hey Dave! Do you know if you're allowed to work in Cambodia as a digital nomad if your official residency and bank is the US? Is that considered "work" to them, or can someone make some extra cash online without being noticed that you've spent the last 11 months or so in another country? Great topic. :)
You´re allowed to work as a digital nomad in Cambodia no matter what. As long as what you´re doing is not illegal here that is. If you meant to ask if they would consider that èmployment by a cambodian company`. Well I do think you could easyly register as `self employed`.
This is exactly my question too as I am moving to Cambodia soon. I have asked about this but can't seem to get a direct answer. I do make enough in my social security to live but I need to know what is and what isn't allowed on an ER Visa.

Great VISA program in the KoW…
Thanks!
Thank you very much!
How long does the Retirement visa last for., when does it have to be renewed.
You can get the retirement extension up to a year at a time.
Does Cambodia offer visa on arrival?
Yes, you can get your visa on arrival at the airport.
Love your videos, brother thank you so. Can I have a retirement visa and work online out of the United States? Do you know the answer to this question thank you.
Cambodian government doesn’t check. How would they know where your income comes from?
Dave has the E retirement VISA. He is working in Cambodia as UA-camr…
Yes. As long as you're not working for payment within Cambodia you're fine.
Q: is it possible for someone under retirement age enjoy a long term stay ?

After you enter the country, meet with travel agent… they will tell you the best VISA based on your situation.

Read as of Dec 10, 2024, need to show proof of income for retirement visa… ?
