Best video on new e-visa on arrival and also EB visa process in under 10 minutes. Simple and to the point as always. Thanks for the info. Help a lot of people out. Sharing this one. Like you say if there is an error in the online e-visa on arrival it’s not a big deal. You can just get someone to help you. Very good video. Great work. Keep it up.
Thank you for watching and commenting. When I decided to retire in Cambodia I wanted to share my experience with the world and I’m happy you are enjoying my content. Thanks for the support. Have a nice day 👍
That’s awesome! Philippines is a great place to retire as well! Thanks for sharing! I’ve only been there once but I never got a chance to leave Manila and explore the islands. Maybe one day 😀 Yes, Cambodia is definitely close by!
I know someone, lets call him a friend, who this month, got a 12 month Retirement Visa extension. Got off the plane Monday night, they dropped passport all stamped and signed off at his hotel Friday night, no supporting documents required. But your method is the legit way.
That is fantastic! Thank you so much for sharing with us. I appreciate the information. Helps a lot of people out who have questions about retirement visas. Thank you for watching and commenting. Have a wonderful day 🙏

Hi Steve, can you please let me know what vaccinations you needed before you entered Cambodia? So I hope I am understanding you correctly, that I can enter and ask for an E Visa which I can turn into a retirement visa? What documents do I need? There is so many online answers that are so confusing. Please and thanks!
Hi! Thank for watching. For a complete list of vaccinations please refer to my video 2 months ago, “Is Cambodia Safe?…” As for the visa. When you enter you ask them for an EB visa/ordinary visa. They will issue you a 30 day EB visa which you can extend at a visa extension service agency(the one in the video is called Cam Smile Visa Services). They will take your passport and documents and process your 6 or 12 month visa for you. The Visa extension agency will answer and go through anything you need(if any). Yes, online answers can be confusing. I went with my cousin and he did exactly what I described and got his EB visa. Have a nice day.
@@SteveExpatLivingInCambodia thank you so much for your quick response. Good luck with your channel, I am enjoying your take and appreciate the information. It will be so helpful to me when I land in Siem Reap and live there. Tips are worth their weight in gold. I am a Canadian currently living in Spain but find that the cost of living here is getting too high and I am unable to have any kind of real social life. It will be great to discover another new place. My only real concern is the heat and mosquitoes, so hopefully I can work through that. Thanks again🙏
Thank you so much for watching! I appreciate you taking the time to comment. You asked great questions that will help a lot of people. That’s fantastic you will be coming to Cambodia soon. The social life here is incredible and I can’t wait to make more videos on moving to Cambodia and my social life here. The cost of living in Cambodia is great so there is another plus. Can’t beat the mosquitoes here 😂 However, I use a fan when I’m outdoors to limit the risk. Have a fantastic day and safe travels to the Kingdom of Wonder! 🙏
Hi! That's the best comment I've had all year! Made my day bro 😁 Thank you so much for watching and I appreciate the comment. I appreciate the kind words! 🙏 Have a great day 👍
Please refer to the government of Cambodia website for the official information based on your own personal situation. However, I’m from Canada and I just needed proof of hotel stay and told them how long I plan to stay. My cousin did the same and got visa. Then after we went to visa extension agency in Siem Reap to extend for 6 & 12 months. At the office they will tell you exactly what you need. For me it was my passport and proof of address. I hope this helps. Have a nice day 🙏
I'll be arriving in 5 more days! Your videos have been helpful in my trip preparation. Currently, my head is partly bald and partly grey hair. Did you get your hair there or did you have it before you left?😂😂. On a different topic, I hope 6 days is enough to look for, and find, an apartment.
That’s fantastic you will be arriving so soon! Enjoy the kingdom of wonder! I’m so happy to hear you have found my videos helpful. Made my day 😀 My hair is all natural, so far 😂 Maybe in 10 years I will have a different answer. Retiring in Cambodia in my 30’s gets me a lot of the same questions on my hair 😂 Thank you for watching and I appreciate your support. Have a wonderful day! Safe travels! 🙏
Not sure what you are refering to about Steve's hair but he did a video on UA-cam about 3 months ago getting his haircut. He is a very good looking man!
Thank you for your wonderful compliment! ☺️ I appreciate your kind words. Yes, I really liked my haircut in Siem Reap. I appreciate you watching the video. Have a wonderful day 🙏
I heard you just can't move there. I'm at an airport in India, they told me I had to buy a two-way ticket or they won't let me enter the country. Should I fly back to the US and fligh straight back to Colombia and then get a visa? Or try to get a visa first for that country before flighing again?
My cousin and I both came in with one way tickets and about 10 to 12 of my friends did the same. Yes, you can fly into Cambodia with a one way ticket and live here. The issue is there are regulations with airlines and some countries. Once you are in Cambodia I recommend going to a visa extension service agent so they can help you set up living here given there are no restrictions with your passport/country of origin. You may need to find another airline/route to get into Cambodia in your situation (which I never heard of until now) and then get to a visa extension service agent office. Hope this helps and wishing you all the best getting to Cambodia safe. Have a great day! 🙏
Hi Steve, great channel. Was wondering if you can clerify for me one thing. I want to go for E-B visa on arrival and then extended for 6 months once iam inside Cambodia. Now upon arrival do I have to provide a letter of employment then or when I apply for extension. So basically when I touch down in Cambodia and select E-B visa what do I need to provide specifically in order to get that visa? Thanks
Thank you for watching and I appreciate the comment. Once you touch down they will ask to see proof of address for the length of time you are staying(in my case/experience). Since they issue 30 days to start when I first arrived over a year ago I provided them with a hotel reservation. I then showed them correspondence with an agent that shows rental apartments in Siem Reap Cambodia and our appointment(this is in my case/experience). However I have heard people just show proof of hotel reservation and tell them they plan to extend and they get the E-B visa. I provided no letter of employment however if you have one they will look at that document and proof of residence/where you are staying and base their decision on that. I would show the letter of employment to both the customs officer when your land and then also provide the letter to the visa extension service agency so they can submit it with the rest of your documentation when you extend your visa at their office. My cousin got this E-B visa by just showing where he was staying and telling them how long he planned to stay. That was it, in his experience. I hope this helps. People have different experiences however overall it’s straightforward and they help you out once you land. Have a wonderful day and happy travels! 🙏
Just got my E-visa approved and arrive in 7 more weeks! Just confirming i heard correctly, when i arrive and go to get my extension, i can only get 6 months for my first extension? Just curious why i can't go for the year long one.
I can only tell you what they told me. First in my situation I could only get 6 months visa at first, then after that I can apply for a work visa which allows me to get a one year visa. I’m happy you got your visa! Once you get to the visa office they will guide you and give you your options based on your needs. I’m just speaking from my experience and my cousins experience. I couldn’t get a year visa up front at first without a work visa and I couldn’t get a work permit without staying for 6 months. But this was for my case and situation. Let me know how it goes at the visa office. I’m curious to know how your experience will be like. Thank you for sharing.
