    I'm going to do this ! The only difference is is I will use 45 degree bracing from the back wall to the bottom of the shelf. My ceiling is very high. 1:59

    This is one of those jobs where it's really important to get the holes drilled square. Use a jig, if you don't have a drill press. 4:51

    I have done lots of shelves, I do them with the vertical pipes in the back of the shelf. Seems to have more room of the shelf that way. Having reducing couplers for the feet, in my opinion looks better then using a flange. Just my 2 cents....

      Do you use a 90 degree elbow to support the shelf or do you use a straight pipe and flange into the wall to support the shelf?

      @@piercecushenbery5876 I have done both. Also like to use a reducing coupler or a street el which adds a nice look.
