Equally annoying is the never ending trips up and down the stairs for a simple inside project. Whatever you think it should take, multiple by at least three.
Absolutely. I keep leaving my SD card in my computer. Go to the shop, set up the camera, almost ready to build something awesome..."Insert SD Card" ....
I did this in my office. I made multiple trips to HD and LOW cause they were either out of stock or didn't have any. Worst part is I had to strip them down to the metal before painting. Thatwasthewostpart odmy build.
This is exactly the look I am going for. I am remodeling my man cave to have a speakeasy type of feel, and need some heavy duty shelving to house all my records. And nice choice with EAP.
Free standing, except for the tip flanges which are anchored to the wall. 😁 Although, I might recommend anchoring to the floor as well if you have young ones that might try to pull on the shelf. It won't fall, but it could move around, which is not so great.
I love this and have purchased the plans, but am wondering if you foresee any problems switching from 3/4" diameter to 1/2" ? I have several left from another project and would love to use them up.
Definitely! But I decided adding a plate to the wall would look a little better. If you catch the issue earlier, you could simply use longer pipe for the legs.
Are you wearing your Rode receiver on your hat? Where is the mic? I tape mine to my chest. Some manscaping required... I'm still using a wired lav but plan to treat myself when I hit 1k subs to celebrate!
Bought file, downloaded and printed. Since I have a black and white printer your colorful images and graphics did not print. Not useful and wasteful. ~Thanks!
How many times did you have to run to the store last time you built something? Comment down below!

Rock on! Thanks for watching, love the username.
Way to overcome and show that shelf who's boss! It looks awesome.
Watch out shelf! Jake is in the house!!
Ah I can share in the struggle of going to the store 40 times ugh so frustrating. Loved the shelves man looks great!
The struggle is real!
Good quality product. Correct, fast transport service.
Thanks for watching!
Also, I hate when projects don't go as planed but it looks like this one still turned out great!
Absolutely! Glad it worked out in the end, it's a really cool piece.
Great build Jake! Love the HP books on the shelf!
Hey thanks! Glad you liked it! Great set of books, we just got them for my wife's birthday a few months back.
What kind of wood did you use?
Great project! If you’re short on ideas, how about a build on the plane racks you’ve built hanging behind you?
Definitely! I want to redesign/rebuild that wall which will definitely include some bench plane storage. Thanks for watching!
Did you screw the bottom flanges to the floor or are they free standing?
Free standing, except for the tip flanges which are anchored to the wall. 😁

looks amazing! really want to build something like this in the future, thanks for sharing! ✌
You should! Thanks for watching!

Thank you!! 1/2" pipe should work great.
Turned out great man! nice Intructables too.
Thank you sir! Using screenshots from the video to make instructables is a game changer.
Great video and end result!
Glad you liked it!
Very nice!! Thank you!
I drag my screws across a bar of soap I keep in my toolbox before using them to help them go in easier much like your use of paste wax. :-)
Nice! It's something I never did until recently for some reason....
You also could have added spacers under the feet to avoid the shelves, no?
Definitely! But I decided adding a plate to the wall would look a little better. If you catch the issue earlier, you could simply use longer pipe for the legs.
How much did it cost?

Yep! I just keep it on the side of my hat and use the built in hat. No manscaping required!
💯👍👍
Thanks for watching!
Too many!
Way too many!

Awe man, thats no good! Did you order via Etsy? Shoot me a message through your order and we can try to work something out.
@@MakewithJake i got it to print in greyscale via Adobe. Thanks. Sorry to be harsh.
To much of a hard sell for the plans....
Gotta keep the lights on somehow.
@@MakewithJake for sure, good video though, much appreciated
