The polar Express This is one of the greatest Christmas movies to watch, regardless of your age. Watch it on Christmas Eve just because it takes place on that day.

From what my mom told me I used to cry and scream a lot when at a theater but apparently this was the first movie I didn’t have a meltdown at a theater

Tom Hanks playing multiple characters in a single movie even I was blown away by that fact
Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall both played multiple characters in "Coming to America", and even before then, Peter Sellers played multiple characters in "Dr. Strangelove".
I believe that it was Tom Hanks voicing all of the adult male characters.
The saddest line in the movie was when he said the even Sara found one day she couldn't hear the bell anymore.
It was normal, she did not go through the polar express experience

The Polar Express is modeled after the Pere Marquette 1225, it is a 2-8-4 wheeler built by the Lima Locomotive Works in Lima, Ohio in 1941.
Not to mention that Pere Marquette has been used for Christmas excursion trains ever since the movie came out.

I think this was the first ever performance capture animation ever made. That's why it looks so weird lol. It took me a few times watching this movie before I warmed up to it, what with the strange animation, but now it is an annual Christmas tradition for me. Along with about twenty other movies...
5:01 this movie was done with motion capture and Tom Hanks plays the majority of the characters. He’s Santa, The Hobo, Conductor and the boy. The behind the scenes of this is fun. Loved this book growing up and was glad they did the book justice with the movie. Every year at our local railroad museum they do a “Polar Express Train Ride” where they serve you hot chocolate and a cookie. They have performers doing the Hot Chocolate dance. The hobo shows up to cause mischief and Santa Claus comes on board and gives everyone a bell like in the story. This year the Santa remembered my daughter from last year who is autistic and it just made her trip even more special. He even asked to take a photo with her.
Tom Hanks is also Chris' dad in the movie.
The scene where the Hero Boy's bedroom starts to shake and the heater radiator starts to shake, smoking and making noises like a train's whistle is very much cool, funny, amazing, wonderful, spetacular, phenomenal, fantastic, emotional and creepy. This is my favorite scene from the movie, i love very much this scene.
It’s crazy that some people will call ‘The Polar Express’ the worst Christmas movie. I didn’t think it was. It’s a classic movie!!

Wonderful Christmas film with superb acting by Tom Hanks and meaningful ending.
If you loved this kind of animation, I recomend Beowulf (2007) and A Christmas Carol (2009).both directed by Robert Zemeckis (the director of this).

This is my all time favourite Christmas movie. I love it so much. I always cry at the scene where the two kids sing because I find it so beautiful and magical. The whole movie is magical. I'd love to hear a train pass by my house that takes you to the North pole. That would be a trip I'd never forget.

The book was a standard during childhood around this time of year. Every year your class would have the librarian or a teacher read it out aloud 🙏🏼
The Polar Express is by far the best Christmas movie of all time. This is one of these movies that you want to watch it with your families for generations. Every child should watch this movie and learn the meaning behind this masterpiece

THE MOVIE IS A CHRISTMAS CLASSIC!
I haven't ever seen anything about Tom Hanks doing a remake of this, in fact I looked it up and found the opposite being said of it, that there is no remake/sequel.

I have a replica of the sleigh bell that I use for the holidays to hang on my tree. It’s my most favorite ornament of all. 😁

It's a cartoon that I really like. I think that in all the Christmas films and cartoons I think my favorite is really The Express Pole, no it's a very touching, very moving film that I really like to watch every Christmas. I can't wait to see him again, it made me so sad for the little one and the ending was very moving, especially when at the end he said that the bell no longer worked because he had stopped believing in Santa Claus, It was so moving and I really enjoyed it. The part with the train rolling on the ice was so stylish❤️🥺

This one captures the childhood magic of Christmas the best.
I like to think the old man on top of the train was the ghost of Christmas past. Hence why he asks the boy, “do you believe in ghosts?” And that’s also why he evaporates into the air and snow, and also why he berates the child with the puppets and calling him a doubter, scaring like a ghost would.
My father actually grew up in Grand Rapids, same as the Kid in the movie, he remembers Herkelcheimers and everything! 😄🎄

This is a great movie. I reccomend A Christmas Carol. There are so many versions out there.

One of my favorite Christmas movies and the musical score is academy award good its too bad it didn't get nominated for it.
I know I’m late to this as I was finishing up my college finals for the semester and getting over a cold but this movie is one of my all time favorite Christmas movies. So much so that it sparked my enjoyment and enthusiasm for trains growing up and I still enjoy this movie and other train media sources to this day and always will.

It’s a really good animated movie
Did you know that this movie was played by real actors (Tom Hanks did almost half the characters, including the boy, the conductor, the dad, the santa and the hobo), and then it was put through CGI
This is one of my favorite movies of all time. It's so fun and family friendly ❤️💚
the majority alot of people didn't like this movie and the animation that think it's bad and the animation look creepy but only the miniroty some think the animation looks great that don't think it's creepy and also love the movie i want to share how i truly actual feel about this movie i think this was a great best fun underrated movie of all time i had no problems with this movie at all and i love everything about this movie and even the music and i also think that animation looks great the animation blow me away too in my honest unpopular opinion the polar express this is my favorite christmas movie i enjoy so much it's a 10 out of 10 for me and i love watching you reaction videos to movies and i really love also love your guys reaction to this movie as well i really enjoy your guys reaction as well

15:00 I saw this in IMAX 3D you cannot imagine the experience I had during the train tracks sequence.
Like the Nostalgia Critic said, when you see the movie in IMAX 3D, you feel like you're being transported to the North Pole.

Saw this on IMAX theater then, the train ride in snow, and animals, so huge and sounds all around, awesome. That with story makes this a legendary family movie, glad you all got to watch it!
