I wanted a GX4 the size of a G3 because of the G3 trigger. Looks like the right size with good trigger. And if you have to use it you won't have $1000 in police evidence room
Watched your review and several others and decided I wanted one. Purchased two weeks ago and couldn't be happier. Topped it off with a Vortex red dot and a TLR 7A pistol light. Take down is easy and the weapon fits my large hand very comfortably. Would absolutely recommend as a top contender for anyone wanting a reliable, easy to handle and economical firearm!!
I just picked mine up from the FFL this week. I'm really looking forward to getting out to the range and putting the first 500 down range. The trigger reset outta the box was not tactile feeling or sounding at all. I also think the reset is a little far, but I totally understand why. After an hour or so of dry firing, the reset felt better and actually has a slight audible clicking sound when it resets. I'm a big G3 TORO and TX-22 fan,so I have high hopes for this one. The rail system that holds the slide is so much beefier than the G3, it looks amazing. One other very impressive thing of note, there's little to no slide movement from side to side or up or down when it's in battery. Taurus has really upped their game a ton. The G3 TORO is as reliable and consistent as any pistol I've ever owned. The TX-22 is a straight up workhorse. I go 5K rounds in between cleaning and other than an occasional hiccup from the cheap 22LR ammo I plink with, it just runs and runs. I know us Taurus fans are called the poors, i can live with that just fine. Go ahead and spend 500 more for X-Macro and enjoy. Edit to add: I paid $308 for GX4 TORO Carry shipped to my FFL. That's a great price for a pistol with this feature set.
I’ve been using the G3 for my truck pistol and like it for a cheep hood gun.I was hoping that Taurus would make the GX4 pin a bigger size like this perfect size for do all gun.I really want Taurus to offer as a slide comp version,even if it’s a complete slide kit you can by after.if you’re listening Taurus hook me up please.
Dimensionally almost identical to my Hellcat Pro but found I'm not crazy about the Pro' U notch sights, stiff trigger, and too vertical grip angle. I have an original GX4 that actually shoots better.
All my research led to me buying a gx4 I had it a few days. Shot 3 rounds and the extractor pin fell out. Gun jammed, piece was on the ground and no springs to put back together.. so 3 rounds and had to ship it back 4 weeks wait time.. not happy at all. Cabelas offered me $170 if I sold it right back 🤦🏻♂️

Bought a hellcat pro earlier this year, and now im thinking about going back to the well and getting this too. My firsts were the Taurus g3c and g3 and I didnt care much for the gx4 in its size at the time. This pistol looks gooooood. Its like a hellcat pro, but I want it anyway.
Its specs seem comparable to the Hellcat Pro, both have 3.7" bbl and 15 rd mags. I like that they added a Pic rail to the dust cover. 'Ammo' is plural, "ammos" isn't correct.
Taurus Customer Service told me this model fits the same holsters that were designed for the GX4 XL. Can you confirm? I’m in an area with limited holster selection.
Taurus has a GX4 Carry IWB holster on their website I bought one ( $ 57 tax and shipping) and it fits perfectly . The Carry has a rail and the XL does not .
Wife and I purchased GX4s..we cannot go thru 11 rounds without a dead trigger or misfeed.. no matter what type ammo used. Will not purchase another taurus. Sorry to say.. Wife will not carry it at all ...no trust
Send it back. My TX-22 has north of 50K rounds through it at 4 years old. My G3 Toro is north of 20K rounds at 3 years old. Only hiccup, sadly I might add, the G3 Mags don't like steel cased range ammo at all. They bind up. My GX4 Carry Toro hasn't been out to the range yet. I hope I have better results than you did.

You didn't like the gx4 XL ...its the same gun with 1\8 inch longer grip
The carry feels and shoots completely different

The GX4 Carry is better than hellcat pro in my opinion. Just personal preference as I did not care for the original GX4 too much.

Very similar to hellcat pro but with better ergonomics in my opinion

That is not correct
It will not fit because of the rail on the front it’s wider than the gx4xl
