      @@RaptureofSaints - "f you read Revelation Chapter 20 and 21 etc then you will see what happens after the 1,000 Year Reign."
      Perhaps I didn't make myself clear, so I'll try again. Why only reign with Christ for 1000 years? Do they get demoted or something after that?
      So if it is a literal1000 years, where do they live during that period, because according to you - the New Heaven and earth have not been made yet. And according to all the old prophets the world itself is completely destroyed - the elements melt with fervent heat, the Sun & Moon don;t give their light, every island and mountain has been levelled, the place is a disaster after the global nuclear war, and very few people survive the 3.5 years following the nuclear war. So why on earth would anyone ever want to continue to live here for 1000 years?
      The New Jerusalem doesn't come down to earth until chapter 21 according to your assertion, and the Bible doesn't mention anything other then being in the clouds with the Lord. Isn't 1000 years a long time to live in the clouds? Have you really thought this whole process through, by clinging to this literal 1000 reign year myth?

    I read how some pretribbers try to counter the argument that the book of revelation puts the first resurrection after the great tribulation and after the second coming:
    They say that is just a way of saying something: that there are other resurrections before that: the dead who resurrected when Christ ressurrrected, the resurrection of the two witnesses from Revelation.
    Or that the first resurrection in revelation 20 is called the first resurrection as a contrast to the second resurrection ( making a contrast between the "tribulation saints" who resurrect and the unsaved people who resurrect after the millenium

    • @LastDaysDetective

      Paul, in 1 Cor 15, makes clear the order of the resurrection of everyone. He says Christ was the first. Then Paul says those who belong to Christ will be resurrected when He comes (which Rev 19 and 20 tell us happens after the great tribulation). Then, Paul writes that after Jesus has reigned until death is destroyed (which Rev 20 tells us is 1000 years after which death is thrown into the lake of fire) the rest of the dead will be resurrected (which Rev 20 tells us is for the purpose of them being judged).
      There is no indication that those who came out of the graves when Jesus rose were no different than Lazarus whom Jesus raised and yet died later. As for the two witnesses, there is evidence in the text that suggests their resurrection happens when Jesus comes after the great tribulation.
      Rev 20 tells us that those who partake in the first resurrection are blessed and holy and are priests of God and will reign with Christ 1000 years. This aligns with the song in Rev 5, where people of every tribe, tongue, people, and nation who have been redeemed by Christ's blood are said to be priests of God and as kings will reign on the earth.

    Again a mighty amen. Why people cannot understand this that is so clear in the scriptures just blows me away. They say things like why would we be in heaven then have to come back to this nasty earth. But it won’t be nasty because Jesus will reign and rule with a rod of iron. Satan will not be here at that time. I personally can’t wait to rule and reign with Christ on the earth. Because we will be just like Him, it’s going to be amazing. We will have been perfected and made into immortal incorruptible people. How wonderful!

      @LastDaysDetective  Рік тому +1

      Yes, it will be wonderful. The Bible underlines that our eternal inheritance and hope is the resurrection of our bodies. You don't need a resurrection body in heaven, but you do need one on earth.

      @@toots4jesus Very many believers are taught that heaven is our eternal home, and that the earth is to be shunned, yet the Bible teaches that God's aim is to redeem His creation. Romans 8 makes that abundantly clear. Also, Eph 1,10 says that God's will is "to bring unity to all things in heaven and on EARTH under Christ." And 2 Pet 3,13 says: "But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells." Peter writes here - "WE are looking forward to ... a new EARTH." It can't be clearer! 🙂

    I enjoyed hearing truth for a change. However, he overlooks the beginning of the kings covenant that Yahweh made with Abraham. Abraham, then Sarah, and then Jacob were each promised that kings would come from them. Read Gen 17:6; 17:16 and 35:11... Later the nation of Israel is promised to be peculiar people, a nation of kings and priests in Deut 14:2, Exodus 19:6, 1 Peter 2:9 Thus this promise of sharing in the kingdom rule is nothing new... When Christians read Romans 11 we should realize that we are branches spliced into tree of Israel and have an opportunity to share in the kings covenant that Yahweh made with Abraham, Sarah, Jacob and the nation of Israel.... When we arrive in the prophecy of Revelation we now should understand that the 144,000 sons of Israel are these kings and priests, as only men can be kings and priests according to the law... first the kingdom will be established and afterwards the great crowd of remaining believers will be gathered...

      @@delawarecop The scripture in Rev 20:4-6 seems to indicate clearly they rule with Yahshua for 1000 years, not longer, not shorter. The scripture in 1 Cor 15:24-28 seems to indicate that Yahshua subjects himself and hands the kingdom over to his Father at the end of the millennium when the last enemy death is defeated so that his Father can be all in all. Thus it seems likely to me that these kings and priests will also subject themselves to the Father. Yet no scripture tells us clearly if the kings and priests will continue to reign with the Father or not. My best guess is that their reign is likely only 1000 years, but we will definitely have to wait and see how that all turns out... Do you have any scriptural thoughts or opinions on this???

    • @delawarecop
      @delawarecop Рік тому

      @@preppingforprophecy7680 - Yes, I have thoughts of course!
      My thoughts also follow what scripture suggests - the thousand years is not a literal 1000 years, but a long timeless day - aka THE LAST DAY!
      You see what is written in John 6:39, 40, 44, & 54 suggests that everyone is judged - AT THE LAST DAY. John 12:48 clearly says that those who reject Christ are also judged in that very same last day. [He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.]
      We know that Christ cannot lie, right? And Martha also knew that Lazarus would rise in the very same LAST DAY, as suggested in John 11:24 Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.
      That's why I suggest that the wicked are raised in the same day - not a literal 1000 years apart. So certainly the dead in Christ are the FIRST part of THE RESURRECTION, but this all occurs - AT THE LAST DAY. If there is a literal 1000 years between the FIRST and LAST parts of THE RESURRECTION, then Christ cannot be Messiah, because He lied. So I suggest that this is infantile thinking, and hence why 2Peter3:8 must be invoked in reference to the THOUSAND YEAR phrase.
      This same theme is repeated in Mat 13, ad also in Acts 17:31 For He has set A DAY when He will judge the world with justice by the Man He has appointed. He has given proof of this to everyone by raising Him from the dead." Acts 24:15 and I have the same hope in God that they themselves cherish, that there will be A RESURRECTION of both the righteous and the wicked.
      Not 2 Resurrections, nor 1000 years apart - but a very LONG GREAT DAY.
