    I totally feel this. I had this happen twice when more and more Jo’s got dumped on me. Then I quit. First time, it took 3 people to do all my work. All full time. Had they listened I would have stayed and they would have a great employee. Second time this was done to me, it drove my health down. Ended up disabled. Currently they have 3 of four people doing what I did. The fourth job they can’t get anyone because it’s too much work for just one person. Don’t miss the stress.

    Lol... they're "100% sure" to ask her to be the temporarily assigned manager meaning they already see her potential but then they need to be "100% sure" when the official time comes for a promotion? Yeah... indeed talk about taking advantage of someone by getting the person to play manager for free... then when the end of the 90 day period is done, there would be conflicting reasons as to why she didn't get the promotion when really it'll be due to office politics.

    I have worked in the corporate world for many years. If you say these things to your employer you will be put on the naughty/troublemaker list and will not ever get promoted. In fact they will be looking to make life harder for you so you will eventually quit.

      That’s why the video is showing what we all think and feel but what we would actually say downplays it so they don’t think we are being hostile and condescending back but rather just trying to keep up with our busy life.

    This is why ya'll have to manage expectations. If I finish a job at somebody's house and it took 2 hours I'm not going to get to go home early. They're going to keep adding more and more work even though it's still the same work day and technically my tasks are complete. This is how you learn to make a two-hour job turn into an 8-hour job .

    This exact situation happened to a guy i worked with, he thought he'd for sure get the position after the "acting" period and NOPE. Company really screwed him over 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

    This happened to ME when our Department manager Accepted another position in the company! I wasn't given any Comp-time for taking on some of Her additional duties & responsibilities by the Department Director! I was the Merchandise Accounting Supervisor (Young Black with a BA) accomplished over a Staff of 10 WP, 3 BLKP, and 1, East Indian! They did not Like Me ~ and thought I was their AGE BECAUSE I LOOK YOUNG & had a Young Attitude. They made up All Types of Rumors About Me and Reported them To HR!! 😮😮 I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT!!! I WAS Totally DEVASTATED!!😱😱😳😱

    Tell them you'll apply for it. If you're DOING it, they have no reason to hire anyone else. But applying for it just MIGHT get them to define the role and actually interview people now.

    same thing happend to my co- worker. he did the work and they picked someone else.
    but for 2 months. he did the work. got no extra pay. they screwed him over. and he no longer wanted it ever.

      The company is in a bad state, that's why they lost Samantha probably. Smart move is to start looking for another job now. They just told her she's not valuable to them like you said.

    Jesus no wonder women can’t stand each other in the work place it’s like who can be passive aggressively the most catty contest before one of runs to HR. Guys in the work place would just be like “yo F that, or yeah sure why not I’ll do it” and that’s the end of that.

      I guess you could look at it both ways, but most people would not be in a position to talk to their managers like this, they would be finding themselves out the door.

      So if you want to grow your carrier one should work after 5PM (hourly employees).
      Work as acting manager for 6 months with out increase in pay.
      Go above and beyond at work for minimum wage.
      Give them 2 week notice before quitting but they can fire an employee on the spot.
      Employees are not allowed to use cell phones at work but they expect us to answer work calls on my personal cell phone after work hours ?
      How is this fair ?
      It should be two way street.
