Not a fan of the Safari look. However, I was given a Safari as a gift and must admit they are great writers. Mine is no special edition but I find myself using it regularly. I have the medium nib and love it. The 'cream' version is nice. Pity about the case.
1) Adding that ink on my tobuy list :) 2) I'm sure I would prefer a black clip for a nice contrast... 3) Thanks for the eyedropper tip ! (Even though I don't use these pens, maybe one day...)
I would have preferred a black clip and finial. I like the Strawberry so I don't think I'll bother with the cream. I wish other manufacturers would copy the lugs on the Z28 Lamy converter. I've had a lot of trouble with the converters on Monteverde Ritmas that are very hit and miss. Some are screw in,some are not and work their way loose. That can't happen with a Z28.
Hope everything’s ok: always get concerned when you don’t post as you’re pretty much responsible for my entire collection of pens and inks!(technically, gadgetstop321 put me on to Pilot78g EF & Diamine Oxford blue which is a lovely saturated ink(not quite as good as Diamine Imperial blue which I think I discovered myself - in fairness, I almost rate this as highly as Diamine 1864 blue/black which is another one I owe you: please don’t retire:)
Like the color but after 1 lamy safari i don't get the appeal apart from the lovely clip. It gets dry insanely fast. Definitely a great option for pupils and students though
Really, you've found it so? Maybe you just got unlucky with ink pairing? Maybe it's worth investigating? Haven't heard that it dries out very quickly as a common complaint.
@@MJFallout i exaggerated with insanely fast but I'm comparing the lamy to a pelikan m600 and a pilot custom 742. These 2 have upped my standards too much. That beong said the lamy gets dry in about 1 week of no usage. If my pens whould have stayed wet more time I'd be still collecting but this drying fast time is a waste of precious ink and time.
Love the matching clip, very appealing!
I just bought one tonight. I know I'll love it by your demonstration. BTW I subscribed tonight also and rang the bell.

You sort of sound like Gus fring (sort of a compliment 😂). Nice video
My only criticism of the Safari is that the Extra Fine is not fine enough for my taste. That cream one is rather appealing.
Good video
will the color chip overtime? both on the pen and on the clip? thank you for the review!!
The clip maybe, the pen itself, no.
@@WhatIInk i see, thank you for answering, what a pity tho, if they do chip

No worries, just otherwise occupied.
Can't believe there are Lamy fakes. I just thought they just replicated Montblancs.

@@dariusus9870 Oh, I see. Certainly, gold nibs will usually have the upper hand in properties like flow and wetness, and denying crusty ink residue
