Keyboard Clean

  • This keyboard needed a good clean as you can see. There can be more germs on a computer keyboard than on a toilet seat (gross!) As I usually surf the web while I'm eating my lunch I've been wanting to give this a good clean for ages and today was my opportunity. It cleaned up pretty quickly considering!
I started off by cleaning the tops of the keys first. The wipes were very damp and if I pressed too hard the liquid would run down between the keys if I did the edges. Once the wipes had dried a little, I went back and cleaned between the keys. There were one or two spots I missed while recording but the memory got full so I didn't manage to record it all. I'll try not to get so close up next time. It looks like a new keyboard now!

This is my new favorite. I love how you concentrate on actually cleaning it like it's a real task. I wish more would focus on the "unintentional" and "authentic" asmr.

I love this, I'm a huge fan of asmr vids of tasks that are actually being done at the time not scripted down to each hand motion. A++

Wow - this works so well for me! Thank you very much. Cleaning, especially wiping surfaces are a big trigger for me and this video is one I watch at work often. Great job!

You could use an old tootbrush for the spaces in between the keys to get it really clean, makes for great sounds as well. ;) Great video though!

Thank you, I will bear that in mind. I find it hard to do tasks really slowly but also its not particularly a trigger for me - I find the effect more powerful when someone is paying particular attention, being thorough and very conscientious, becoming engrossed in their task. You are right though, I do need to slow down a bit more. Not sure about the advert at the end, it does seem a bit random, I will check it out x

Thank you so much - and I totally agree with you, that is exactly what triggers my ASMR too. It's wearing off I think because many of them aren't. Actually, I tried cleaning really really slowly at first but watching it back, it seems faster. But then I kind of forgot about the camera and just got on with the task of cleaning the keyboard. It's the concentration I think where the magic lies for me and I'm really pleased you liked it x

You know, antibacterial wipes allow for the bacteria resistent to antibacterial products to propogate and make diseases similar to MRSA. It's best to just use a rag and some rubbing alcohol to clean the board. Just a helpful tip!

I know - and one of the legs fell off the back so it's being propped up with blutack. It's nice to type on so I don't mind. Although it would be an iMac if I had my way!

The number of people using it is completely irrelevant to the fact that Stapholococcus Aureas is on literally every single object you touch, including yourself. The chance that one of the million staph organisms on that keyboard is Methacillin resistant is around 99.99,% which is why your antimicrobial whipes say they kill 99.99% of bacteria, because that .01% left is MRSA.

MRSA develops when a genetic mutation occurs during the multiplication of Staph bacteria. As mutations are random, it can be anywhere at anytime, and most likely is. MRSA infections are caused when the MRSA bacteria gets into your system, which can simply be cause by a scrape, cut, hangnail, etc. If MRSA has to be passed from person to person, then how did MRSA infections begin? Your logic is quite flawed...
