  • False Creek South is one of Vancouver’s pioneering waterfront communities. It’s a highly livable and walkable neighbourhood with a unique mix of land uses, housing types and tenures, transportation options, urban character, and amenities. The City of Vancouver is working on a neighbourhood planning program for False Creek South that will help renew the area and guide long-term growth that meets the needs of the community, city, and region.

When I attended King George High School in 1954 , grade 10 NO ONE could guess about today .The Railway tressal over False Creek brought the Rail Cars into the Warehouses , that area is very evident , DOORS opened
Right close to the loading bay.
The Rail yard was full of produce etc & more freight was coming thru the Rail Tunnel as well as passenger Trains
To the Wash outs, & the Train Engine was taken to the round house to be serviced as well as turned to face East.
Once all was in order the next Rail Crew would Take the Passenger Engine , now facing East back thru the Tunnel
to the Rail Line facing East , some times a Steam Engine but most the Regular Engine, next the cleaned Passenger Cars would be taken thru the tunnel & tied up to the Engine. Steam hoses etc would be tested & food etc taken aboard rtf.
